Hair General

Kaji: Usually at hair salons, or those "hair specialist" stores.

milkincereal: How do you find the damage? I find it gives a bit too much shine and damage to my hair.

Also, I definitely don't know that much about hair haha, everything I say is essentially my opinion so if it's a big question best to get a second source.
Wait, so those temporary hair-coloring styling products are found in hair salons? carp, I was hoping for something like....I dunno, Spencers or something...

I mean, who really colors their hair red?
I did. Bought my red hair shampoo from a hair salon haha.
Tried bleaching my hair. Didn't work. Waste of $10. My hair is still black, not even the slightest hint of brown....
I'm not sure about where you live, but in Sydney/Australia you wouldn't expect anything for $10 hah.

How long did you leave it? If your hair is aas black as mine, 40 minutes under that heat thing will only give you an orange.
REALLY? The directions said 20 to 30 minutes, so I left it on for 30. I knew I was gonna screw it up, so I'm a bit annoyed by it, but I wanted to try something new.

I didn't have a heat thing, though. I was just letting it settle in my head for the stated time, and then wash it off. Does the amount you put also affect it? Apparently, I only used half the bottle when I thought I had more than that. It was a gelatinous base of bleach, so I couldn't measure it properly.
Honestly I'm not too sure, but since it's essentially an acid, it should work if you put more on. =/ I'd suggest biting the bullet and going to a Salon, that way you'll know it definitely works.

By heat thing I mean what is essentially a heater, that surrounds your head hah.

The thing is it would probably be best not to leave it on longer than 30 minutes, it's just not strong enough to strip the pigment out of black hair.
I thought so, too. I'm gonna try "reviving" my hair for a month or two, then try again with dying my hair. This time, I'll go with lighter colors, since the one I got wouldn't have give me what I wanted...
I can't wait for my hair to grow out long! The styling is probably going to be more like the character Heiwajima Shizuo from the anime DRRR, but I can't find any good cosplay pics, as I can only find pictures form the anime! Halp! T_T

This is him, isn't he so cool? ^_^
imo looks like normal messy hair, but blonde? Shouldn't be hard to do, aside from the bleaching.
I don't usually do much to my hair because it's short, but I at least use strong gel, apply it to my hair while it's damp, and wear a hat over it to get round hat hair. If I don't do that, my hair just looks really ugly, and because my hair is straight and short it's really stubborn.

I'm planning on growing my hair out for the rest of the year, and my goal is to get this before the year ends. (Click to View)

I don't care if people think it's ugly, it's my style.
I believe hair only grows an average of 12cm a year, so getting to that length from what I've seen would take more than a year.

If you played down the shortness of the side more it wouldn't be that bad though, I have one short side too hah.
