A large part of good side decking is being able to accurately predict what your opponents will side against you as well.
For instance, Consecrated Light -- it gets sided against me 95% of the time, and I'm prepared for it with cards that I side in like Cyber Dragon and Thunder King Rai-Oh. It's not enough to just cover your deck's inherent weaknesses, you have to be prepared for the things people will bring in against you too.
