Gaming Random Thoughts

I'm currently playing Mega Man Network Transmission. I'm stuck on GutsMan... I never did like GutsMan. Oh well, atleast I finally figured out how to beat him! Joyful_3

I've also been working on Mega Man Battle Network: 3 White Version. I'm still in the beginning of the game though. I'm about to fight FlashMan.
So, I downloaded the demo for "Catherine" the newest game by Atlus, the company that made many great games, most notably the Persona series, on the Japanese Playstation Network.

I was surprised, actually. The gameplay itself is just moving boxes. Really. You move boxes to get up stairs to escape Hell (That's pretty much what it is) While that does sound incredibly lame, it's actually pretty good, because thhe game makes it really heart-pounding, with great music, terribly scary atmosphere and just little elements to scare you, like giant arms holding a fork with huge bloody nails that tries to kill you. The rest of the game takes place during various cutscenes, which themselves might be interesting if I understood a single word of Japanese (Which I don't) Unless they localize it (Which a guy from Atlus told me via e-mail they were strongly considering) I won't be buying it. Fun game, but with so much dialogue, I can't go with this.
Yesterday I was playing Mega Man: Network Transmisson. I finally beat GutsMan!! I'm so happy!! Joyful_3 Now I have to go on 4 different missions. I have to go to the Waterworks to fix the problem in the system that's causing the water to not work. (That way Lan's mom can come home. And he can have dinner) I also have to jack into the Bank and fix the system so Mayl can get out. Thirdly, I have to Jack Into the Shopping District and beat FlashMan so the power will turn back on in Higsby's Shop. And lastly, I have to Jack Into Yai's PC and defeat Needle Man so that Yai's PC will start working properly again.
It seems that tomorrow Scamco will be announcing a whole bunch of games. Which possibly includes Tales of Vesperia (PS3), and Tales of Graces F (PS3) alongside a whole bunch of new games.
Tomorrow could possibly be the best day of my life (So far)

Tales of Graces F would already be a treat, but Vesperia, too? *Shrieks like a Beetles' fangirl*

If Tales of Vesperia on the PS3 gets dubbed, that'll be the fourth copy of that game I buy XD (Yeah, I love that game)

And the fact that To agrees just confirms it all. I'm so happy *__*
Hey anyone getting L.A. Noire? Looks cool!

If only Pac-Man Party 2 is announced you cannot hold me accountable.

ROFLMFAO! Are they seriously releasing that game? I will die laughing if that is all they release tomorow!

So will I, except not of laughter.

But it's obviously a multi-release, so it's fine.

EDIT: Speaking of which, are there really any hardcore Pacman fans? I know of Final Fantasy fans and stuff, but is there really a kid somewhere with a room filled with Pacman merchandise?
Probably. I'm sure there's a scene that plays competitive Pac-Man CE or DX together and tries to get the highest scores.

Probably not. Are there any hardcore Mega Man fans? (The original Mega Man Series.) There probably are. Those games are tough. But still fun! Joyful_3
It's here, guys!

My body became filled with flames of joy, after seeing that.
The Last Story Tops The Charts in Japan. Over 100,000 first week sales for Wii RPG from the creator of Final Fantasy.

I have to admit, this game looks really good. It's got to be that good to be leading the charts in its first week though. I wonder when this game will get translated. If it gets translated. (It probably will.)

Anybody know what The Last Story is even rated?

... you have the internet.. learn to use it.

Otherwise you mean age rating. It is this:

"B (ages 12 and up) equivalent to ESRB's E10+ (High end) and T (Low end) ratings, PEGI's 12 (high end) rating, USK's 12 rating, and ACB's PG (high end) and M (low end) rating. "

I've been waiting a while for this! I can't wait! Hopefully they keep the weapons the same power they originally were. I better not have to shoot anything smaller than a hunter twice with a shotgun. I also better not see a single brute the entire game.
That's like remaking the original Super Mario Brothers - why would you do that? Especially since it's someone else remaking the game.

I actually understand where they're coming from. Modern, young gamers would probably look at the graphics for that game and compare it to what they have now and tell themselves that they would not touch that thing. I am partially like this, but only with certain games. I know, I know, to us the graphics does not look that old at all, but to the children out there... Wow.. just looking at the release date of the original version.. who would have thought that its been 9 years already.

Since you brought up a Mario game series; Yoshi Island DS is a remake from the SNES version, so they actually did it already (as well as some other Mario game remakes I cba mentioning).

Somebody thought there were enough remakes to make an entire article about it on Wikipedia.

Yet only two of them were based on the original game, and didn't exactly overhaul the entire game. Both remakes were also in a collection with other Mario titles.
So i heard the mgs series (1-3) is being remade in hd versions and released on ps3 as a bundle? is this true?
That's what the rumors say.

Don't know if I'd believe them though, given it would greatly undervalue the 3DS remake of MGS3, and the fact Kojima Productions is swamped with Kojima's NGP/PS3 project, and Rising.
probably

Online multiplayer.

Keeping the game in print and modern a la Sly Cooper/Team ICO/Ocarina of Time 3DS/any remake.
That entire comment was me trolling that FPSs don't really deserve, or need to be remade.

Anyways, it appears Guitar Hero is dead.

I am shocked.
