Gaming Random Thoughts

Directed by Kojima, the first MGS Kojima's actually been excited about making in nearly a decade, developed by a team the same size of MGS4. And you're more excited in the Raiden spinoff that's has nothing to do with Kojima (he's the supervisior), and is more Ninja Gaiden then Metal Gear Solid. Serious

no thanks. psp sucks
Well atleast at the moment the PSP works. How's being stuck in 1999 and 2000 doing for likely a bunch of this board's PS3 owners? lol

wow so is peace walker actually MGS5 now?
It originally was (as that logo proves). Kojima wanted it to be MGS5 (and to him, it is), and in the teaser marketing the 5 was in reference to Peace Walker. Konami forced him to drop the 5 because of it being on PSP, as they didn't want the backlash like Square Enix got when they moved Dragon Quest IX to DS (best selling DQ of all time btw), and when SEGA moved Valkyria Chronicles 2 (sold better then VC in Japan lol) to PSP, nor did they want the "5" in the title to completely over shadow Rising, which they expect will sell more than Peace Walker. Since they think people would dismiss Rising as quickly as they did to Portable Ops (which was announced at the same time MGS4 was). Instead Konami is now making people dismiss the potentially more profitable game, and the true MGS5 by dropping the 5. Nice.
Man I have really fallen out of the loop in that this industry.

first time i actually wanted to play a game in a few weeks...and i couldn't. i'm giving sony 24hrs to fix this or i'm selling my ps3 and getting a 360. only reason i got ps3 over 360 was mgs anyway...and it's not exclusive anymore lol
In theory it should be good by 7PM EST. Basically the issue is an internal battery clock thinking today is February 29, 2010, which is impossible. The software knows that date is impossible so it's resetting itself to the default date of December 31, 1999. The problem with the games with trophies arise from this, the trophies are time stamped when someone gets one, but the game knows it's impossible for either dates, thus the system thinks someone's attempting to hack it, and locks down. 7PM EST is when the internal clock should think it's March 1, 2010.

if i were you i would just buy a wii (if you dont have one) because there will be atleast 3 beyblade metal fusion video games comeing out the first 2 will be one the ds and the 3rd will be on the wii
Yes because beyblade videogames are the best videogames out on the market.

Also SK doesn't play beyblade anymore. He chills here because he has history with the community.
The first DS game probably won't be translated into English because it uses pre-HWS blades only. And we know there won't be pre-HWS blades by Hasbro. The two others most likely will be made in English.

yeah as khel said I don't beyblade anymore. + I got a Wii when it had just been released, let it dust under my bed for two years then sold it. Not getting another one anytime soon

btw my ps3 is working again now so i'm not getting a 360 lol
So I'm gonna try and pick up Poke Pearl where I left off Dec. 2008. Let's see how that goes. I don't feel like starting a new game since i have 6 badges.
So apparently the apocolyPS3 is over now.

I'm rolling at this whole ordeal, the PR guys over at Sony must still be shitting their pants after this one.

Oh and WTF:

Security Appears Unannounced At Infinity Ward, Studio Heads Missing, Staff "Freaked Out"
One day isn't that bad, especially since it's for the discontinued models. If it was a week, and for slims, then Sony PR would be freaking.
It actually is bad. Something like this shouldn't happen for a system you've paid $500+ for..
It shouldn't happen, obviously.. but that's the kind of things that happen. At least it doesn't affect all the models and at least it's over. Honestly, if you can't deal with not being able to use your system one day out of 365...
It's a basic fact that the more complex a technology the more points of failure it has. It was a software glitch, but they were effective in isolating the problem and solving it.
FYI all they did was wait till the next day lmao

Yup.

As To explained earlier, the whole problem was an issue with the clock and February being a short month.

Sony didn't really do anything to "fix" the issue, they just let 24 hours pass until the PS3's affected internal clocks flipped over to March 1st, and then the problem was solved.

The whole thing is hilarious to me.
Well don't I look stupid now.
Does anybody realize Mega Man 10 was put up yesterday? (At least for America)
No! Thank goodness you said so, thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now I can buy it, will you get it?
I'm gonna decide which Wii to install it. (My parents are divorced, so I have a Wii at both houses.)
Oh. Sorry man. Well, put it on the Wii that you can play on more, I guess.
