Flame Wheel test.

Hello, I was messing around earlier today when my Flame Aquario W105 F KO'd my Basalt Horogium E230 WD. This intrigued me as Flame is generally regarded as bad. So I decided to test this by pitting Flame against some of my BeyBlades.

Gear: Ripcord Launcher (Hasbro) , Pegasus Thunder Whip Stadium (Hasbro)

Beys:Flame Aquario W105 F, Basalt Leone 145 WD, Cosmic Pegasus (Hasbro) 100 WF, MSF Orojya Saramanda LW 160 SD.

Tests:

Flame Aquario W105 F vs Basalt Leone 145WD
Results: (Basalt spun first each round.)
Flame Aquario: 9 wins (9 OS',win rate: 45%)

Basalt Leone: 11 wins (9 OS',2 KO's,win rate: 55%)

Unsuprisingly, Basalt won. But what I found interesting, was that the battles were fairly close. Basalt only beating Flame by 10%. Another odd finding, was that Flame nearly KO'd Basalt several times.

Flame Aquario W105 F vs Cosmic Pegasus 100 WF

ResultsUnhappyFirst launches were alternated)
Flame Aquario: 15 wins (15 OS',win rate: 75%)

Cosmic Pegasus:5 wins (1 OS,4 KO's,win rate: 25%)

Flame is suprisingly good at absorbing attacks. Cosmic slammed into Flame several times, only for Flame to stonewall it. On one occasion, Cosmic Threw Flame into the air, only to have Flame land on him. Flame managed to knock Cosmic into a penalty pocket, but Cosmic flew out moments later.

Flame Aquario W105 F vs Orojya Saramanda LW160 SD
Results: ( Orojya launched first each round)

Flame Aquario: 0 wins

Orojya Saramanda: 10 wins (9 OS',1 KO, win rate: 100%)

I stopped halfway as the winner was obvious, also, Orojya began to break my Aquario energy ring.

Conclusion: While Flame is heavily outclassed in the metagame, it is not neccesarally a "horrible" wheel.
It's true power is the fact that it can absorb attack decently, and counter with decent smash.
The results may vary from person to person, and combo to combo.
A couple things.
1. All tests must be done in a BB-10 stadium.
2. Flame is awful in standard, there's no denying it.
3. It's mediocre in Limited, however, many of the combos you used weren't Limited format combos.
4. When you test something, you should test it against top tier combos so your results are reliable.

I see, I will fix this by using limited combos. Secondly, I understand that flame is god awful in standard, I am merely trying to show that flame isnt THAT bad. Thirdly, I don't have a BB-10 Stadium, and in the test I mention that fact by saying that I am using Hasbro. The test rules say nothing about HAVING to use a BB-10 if you're not using the Standard Procedure, which I am not
using.
I will fix the testing when I have the time, and sorry if I sounded harsh.
If you do not use a stadium that is legal for the format you are testing for, then you need to post in the Hasbro testing thread : http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-Hasbro-M...Thread-III
