Energy Layer - Odin/Odax

Quote:Odax, known as Odin in Japan, is an Energy Layer released as part of the Burst System. It debuted with the release of the B-17 Booster Odin Central Blow on October 17th, 2015.

==Description==
Odax is an elliptical Energy Layer that features three sloped blades on the longer sides and the center features a face on either side with only one eye colored red; meant to represent Odin, father of Thor in Norse mythology.

While elliptical shapes normally generate high recoil, the sloped blades act like those found on Wyvron; deflecting attacks and reducing recoil. Furthermore the elliptical shape concentrates this Layer's weight onto two sides creating a high Outward Weight Distribution and Flywheel effect, giving Odax comparable stamina to Doomscizor. The Takara Tomy release of Odax features three teeth of medium length allowing it to withstand most of the recoil that isn't deflected by the blades the elliptical shape produces.

There are two mold variations of Odax that have been released. The second mold reinforces one side increasing the weight by 0.2 grams and making the Layer slightly off balanced. *However this does little to effect performance.

==Use in Defense/Stamina Combinations==
Odax has found use in the Defense/Stamina combination Odax Heavy Defense/Survive/Revolve. Heavy increases the combination's Knock-Out resistance which Defense further increases while Survive/Revolve further increases the Layer's stamina.

==Overall==
Odax features high stamina and Burst resistance when launched weaker than the opponent and was once a top-tier part in the metagame to the point of being banned in tournament. However it has since been rendered legal in tournament use once more as it has been outclassed. As such Odax is not a must have, but instead a welcome addition to any blader's collection.

==Differences in the Hasbro Version==
In the Hasbro release of Odax, the slopes of the Layer are weak making it very burst prone and the flywheel effect is significantly reduced making it outclassed Stamina wise by other Layers such as Kerbeus and Yegdrion. Furthermore the ends of elliptical shape features a new point of recoil. Due to these changes, unlike the Takara Tomy release, the Hasbro release of Odax has poor performance in Attack, Defense and Stamina, thus making it suitable only for collection purposes.

But there's also Lost Longinus in play now and Drain Fafnir seems very powerful for Burst Attack so far.

Odin is better at stationary combos, due to its unique destabilizing properties.
Just a little note
effect should be affect
i still think an odin staller should be listed.btw odin weighs 8.7g.also survive is outclassed by gyro

Added "outclassed due to its light weight" because of how heavy the God Layers are now.

I really want to get these out of the way now, they're old and outclassed

The Takara Tomy release of Odin features three teeth of medium length allowing it to withstand most of the recoil that isn't deflected by the blades the elliptical shape produces. However, like other pre-Xcalibur Layers, Odin's teeth will wear down quickly with use, meaning that multiple copies must be purchased to relace ones that have worn down.

There are two mold variations of Odin that have been released. The second mold reinforces one side increasing the weight by 0.2 grams and making the Layer slightly off balanced. However this does little to effect performance.

==Overall==
Odin features high stamina and Burst resistance when launched weaker than the opponent and was once a top-tier part in the metagame to the point of being banned in tournament. However, with the release of the Switch-Strike/God Layer System, Odin is now too light to remain competitive, as such it is recommended for collection purposes only.

==Differences in the Hasbro Version==
