==Description==
Duo Eclipse is a Balance type energy layer that features a somewhat square shaped design. On the left side there is the half portion of Duo Apollos, that features multiple notches. On the right side there is the half portion of Duo Artemis, that features two thick blades, akin to Luinor L2 or a symmetrical Minoboros. As with all other Switch-Strike/God Layers, Duo Eclipse features a gimmick: The left side of the layer has the half portion of Duo Apollos, meant to represent the sun, the right side features the half portion of Duo Artemis, meant to represent the moon, all together to represent Duo Eclipse's namesake: an eclipse.
The left side creates a low-recoil surface which is meant to deflect attacks, while the right side creates a high recoil design due to the blades, meant to give Duo Eclipse a mix between attack and defense, akin to Gaianon G2. However, just like Gaianon G2 and other balance type parts, this leads to mediocre performance in both categories.
The multiple notches on the left layer creates too much recoil to be used in defense/stamina combinations, while the blades on the right layer creates too little recoil for attack combos, due to the counterclockwise direction and how compact they are. The square shape of the layer also severely increases the burst risk of the combination that utilizes Duo Eclipse.
Duo Eclipse features three teeth of a medium height, although such a feature would imply that the layer is able to withstand its own recoil, the low weight of the layer leads to its downfall. Although Duo Eclipse is heavier than the remastered versions of the Plastic Gen beyblades, the light weight and relatively thin shape of the layer creates low inertia, making a combination using Duo Eclipse incredibly prone to bursting.
==Overall==
Duo Eclipse has too high recoil for defense and stamina combos, too little recoil for attack, light weight, somewhat weak teeth, and weak burst resistance, rendering it outclassed by layers like Legend Spriggan and Sieg Xcalibur for attack, Spriggan Requiem and Maximum Garuda for defense, Guardian Kerbeus and Deep Chaos for stamina, and Galaxy Zeus for balance. As such, Duo Eclipse is recommended for collection purposes only.
