The 4-55 Ratchet features four protrusions at a 5.5 millimeter height. At the time of release with the Custom Line, 4-55 is the lowest Ratchet released which reduces the chance of Blade to Ratchet contact and thus the risk of Bursts and can make it easier for Attack combinations to strike opponents from below for Upper and Burst Attack. However, compared to previously released 4 series Ratchets, the protrusions of 4-55 are significantly bigger and easier to catch onto by an opponent's Blade which significantly increases the Burst risk when struck. Furthermore like all shorter height Ratchets, 4-55 has a very weak grip on Bits which can lead to a Burst from impact instead of Ratchet contact.
