Solar is a Layer Base released by Hasbro as part of the Burst System as well as the Hypersphere System. It debuted in western countries with the release of the Hypersphere Single Pack, Solar Sphinx S5 6 Jagged-H.

Solar is a layer base upgraded from the energy layer Solar S4 with an integrated Zan plastic weight with 6 short blades that are sloped down clockwise. In theory, these blades are meant for offensive power by smashing from its sides and potentially upper attack by using its slopes. However, the fact that these blades are far too short and the way the ends of the slopes are near unreachable makes it practically just a spinning hexagon which makes it even worst than its precedent that had higher upper attack capabilities. Furthermore, its lightweight factor and hexagonal shape makes it easier to burst, thus being useless as a layer base.

Solar is outclassed by nearly everything in its field and is even outclassed by its precedent model Sphinx S4. Therefore, for all formats, Solar is recommended for collection purposes only.
