Vise Leopard is an Attack Type Layer that features a leopard head on either side, meant to represent this Layer's Japanese namesake; the Leopard, each lined with red "teeth". As part of the Super Z Layer System, Vise Leopard features metal in its design, in this case; the leopard heads are made of metal. The inclusion of Metal makes Vise Leopard heavier than most God/Switch Strike Layers. Vise Leopard also features a gimmick; the top half of the Layer is spring loaded for it to "bite" onto the opponent.
Theoretically, the opponent's Layer would slip into the gap in the perimeter of Vise Leopard and become caught on the red "teeth", which are made of rubberized plastic, stopping the opponent's Layer and creating Burst Attack potential. In practice however, the gap in Vise Leopard is too small for any Layer's protrusions to be caught in, the teeth are two small to grip into the opponent's Layer and the spring used in the gimmick is too strong to move up during impact. As such, Vise Leopard features poor recoil, making it ill-suited for Attack Type combinations. However, the three strong teeth and fairly round shape of the Layer can create moderate Defense potential.
==Overall==
Vise Leopard, while fairly heavy, features too little recoil and a non-functioning gimmick, making it ill-suited for Attack Type combinations. While the Layer exhibits Defense Potential from its strong teeth and shape, it remains heavily outclassed by Archer Hercules and Revive Phoenix.
As such, Vise Leopard is recommended for collection purposes only.
