Wedge, abbreviated as W, is a Defense Type Bit with the standard 12 gear ratio and features a narrow, low angle cone tip akin to the Metal Change Base from Bakuten Shoot Beyblade Generation.
Due to the low angle of the cone tip, the performance of a Wedge combination changes depending on the launch angle. When launched flat, contact is made with the sharp center creating little to low movement to preserve Stamina. When launched at an angle or knocked off balance by an opponent, contact is made with the slant. Because the angle of the cone is so low, contact with the slant causes Wedge to act like a flat tip and thus creates more aggressive movement. However, because Wedge's cone is so narrow the movement speed is slow with little chances of reaching the Xtreme Line by itself.
While theoretically Wedge offers greater stability than other cone tips like Needle due to its low angle, Wedge can still tilt severely and expose the Ratchet due to how narrow it is.
