Any Dr. Who fans around here? I personally love the show, it's great. So, discuss!
I love Doctor Who, my fave doctor is the 10th Doctor.
The only show I have to watch at the moment it airs.
Same. My job gets in the way lately though.
Dr.Who > Work, even if work does pay the TV licence.
Royal Mail has some cool Doctor Who merchandise:

Tempted to get the mug despite how expensive it is.
Sorry guys, forgot the older Doctors in the poll. Anywaaaaaays, the Master is hilarious.
I hope they bring him back at some point. Either with him playing him or someone else. However I think they kinda killed any chance of him coming back since they came up with a proper reason for why he's mad and evil. Learnt the other day that in some of the books outside of the TV show they revealed what his real name was. I won't reveal it but it was interesting and nothing like a human name.
It is quite an interesting name, but you can't expect Time lords to be named John Smith and Harry Saxon. That would be like Daleks' names being like the Master's real name.
Good to see the doctor knows what's needed in a backpack.
Glad to see David Tennant back for the 50th Anniversary. He was by far the best Doctor. What did everyone make of the finale of the most recent series?
Most of the plot pulled out of nowhere with no series arc to build into it, masses of waiting around for characters to do what you already knew the were going to do and I really don't see Merlin's "Voice of the Dragon" as the doctor.
In short, it was pretty but otherwise awful.
Erm you seem to have completely misunderstood. He's a future incarnation of the doctor that we haven't seen yet. However since the 12th doctor knew who he was there's no way he could be the new doctor unless going into his future caused a paradox or something that meant he knew that was him but that's really unlikely since the doctor clearly knew who he was. In short there's almost no chance that John Hurt is going to be the new doctor. That's why they haven't announced it.

That's what I'm hoping but I don't see why the doctor knowing his next incarnation would be any more improbable than him knowing the twentieth, say.
What i've said is right. You have to have watched before the 2005 onwards stuff to understand. If you want I can tell you but it kinda makes the plot of the anniversary obvious. Or as river song says "Spoilers".
I heard that John Hurt was playing the 'real' Ninth Doctor, the one that fought in the Time War and committed genocide to end it. That being the thing he did that wasn't in the name of the Doctor. That would push Eccleston to being the 10th, Tennant to 11th and Smith to 12th. That would explain how Smith's Doctor knows who he is and why he's in shame. Hurt's been pictured wearing attire that seems to mix McGann's Doctor with Eccleston's. Just what I've heard though...
