By golly. Megamorph doubles atk if life points are lower and halves if lp is higher. Clayman is good if you set it face down. I'm not saying that I have this deck.Ii'm just saying that that's the guide for ATTACK

Ah, well than Kageki and Kagemusha are trash and so is Cyber Dragon.
No one should use Debris Dragon! Only 1000 ATK!
Dandylion? More like Dandyfail!

There's more to Yu-Gi-Oh than high ATK points.
this is just attack. I haven't done defence yet. jeez guyz

Cyber Dragon. Your point is still invalid.
Non-Synchro TGs besides Rush Rhino in general. All Morphtronics are garbage too, I presume. (Piggybacking off of what Daegor said.) It's really not even about defense anymore either. Effects make the man. Big time.

I agree. dandylion, debris, gale, armory arm.....some of the most game breaking cards rely on effects alone. also, if your lifepoints are higher, you can equip magamorph to an opponent's to halve their ATK.(vs. shi-en... you negate and i use monster reborn OR it resolves and i run over you.) it is useful, but no top-tier decks run it. so, conclusion:
megamorph is tier 2, will be tier 1 with the release of xyz.(being able to run over an xyz with debris dragon lol.)
The problem with Megamorph isn't that it's weak.
It's that it's situational and risky.

Getting Megamorph to resolve in the first place in a meta full of negation is already not favourable, but Megamorph also generates more advantage for your opponent in a couple of ways.

If you and your opponent are both left topdecking (say after a Black Rose nuke), drawing into Megamorph could prove fatal.

If it's on your monster:
It turns cards like Dimensional Prison from one for ones to two for ones in terms of card advantage. This is very bad.
It turns cards like Compulsary Evacuation Device from a minus one to a one for one stun.

Cards like D.Prison and CED are very commonly played.

Halving your opponent's attack and then destroying their monster sounds easy enough, but again, this meta is full of stuff that will stop and disrupt that strategy: Summon negation to stop your monster coming out in the first place (Solemn Warning/Judgment, Bottomless Trap Hole), Spell negation (Shi En, Solemn Judgment), Spell destruction (Mystical Space Typhoon, Dust Tornado), attack negation (Necro Gardna), attack disruption (Mirror Force, Dimensional Prison), responsive monster disruption (Compulsary Evacuation Device, Book of Moon). All of the cards listed are commonly played, except maybe Necro Gardna.

And even if you manage to get the attack through, you still lose Megamorph, which means it was a one for one removal which requires you to go through an extraordinarily risky process for little reward.

the metagame you describeed is inaccurate. since YCS providence, it's been getting easier and easier to beat six sams. this is expected as people are finding more counters. the meta is formulanarchs, GK, miracle gemini, tengu synchro, plant T.G.s, zombies and chaos/chaos plants.

six sams have officially dropped down to tier two.

once xyz are out gadgets are expected to be top tier.

in this well-balanced format, you must remember that you are also running negation cards to stop your opponent from negating your cards.

decks are more control-OTK rather than control, and therefore run more card removal than negation.

glads and GKs still have the same countering backroung you desribed, however in these matchups you could side out megamorph. or you can side megamorph, and if you aren't playing against a deck that commonly negates, you can side them in.

and as for six sams being tier 2.... think of all the decks and cards that kill it. plus shi-en can't negate counter traps so it dies to GK/stun/glads/counter faires/heralds.

it is unreliable, yet it is a good tech card if gale is unavailable. also, you could run it with gale for extra halving.
yeah i used to be into yugioh. i had an amazing deck. my best decks were destiny hero and machine deck yeah we should do online battles. you know post your deck and then play by writing your moves
You could do that, or you could Duel online here.
most people use duling network for testing (at least at my locals.) lately on dueling network i've been using a plant hero synchro deck and it's broke. (stratos is a plus 1 on summoning, so imagine using it to summon trishula!)

yeah but it is, like nlgrocket said, really for testing. besides how cool would it be to just get a yugioh battle with Kai-V. Really though you could do it through pm and take as long as you want for your move. i'm gonna stop talking about this now so if you wanna keep arguing then pm me
Because the current conversation is over, I'll throw something out there: what are your guys' thoughts on possesed dark soul? Most lv. 3 or lower monsters don't stay on the field until your turn, but here are the monsters that stay on the field to be taken with dark soul:
cyber vally
formula synchron
dandylion
spirit reaper
gale

So, do you guys see my point? What are your thoughts on this ridiculous side deck monster? Has mind control been outclassed? Be sure to talk about it in your decks, rather then the card itself

It WILL become top tier next format, with low-level Xyz monsters running around.

What deck will benefit the most from this? Will it be enough to stop Xyz from destroying the metagame? Will it become the future monster staple along with sangan?

Thanks in advance.

Xyz don't have levels. They have "Ranks." They can't be controlled like that. Besides that, I don't think Xyz will "destroy the metagame".

However, I do see your point in this, kind of.

Oh yeah I forgot about ranks rather than levels. However, dark soul can hinder the summoning of Xyz by taking away material.

Also, it seems as if Xyz are easier to summon as you don't need tuners. So, in time, it is inevitable for them to destroy the format. Synchros did, so will Xyz.

Formula Synchron can quick-synch away.
Dandylion still gives tokens to your opponent if it goes to the grave.
Gale generally doesn't stay on the field.

Material that's generally used on the turn it's summoned. Given the speed of the game right now, I doubt people will take two turns or more to XYZ summon.
Gadgets normally stay on the field. Xyz will probably make gadgets top tier. Certain machine decks run cyber valley which stays on the field, and spirit reaper is teched in alot of decks. Taking Dandylion slows down the speed of their deck. It takes away powerful fodder for a few turns. This will give you time to prepare for brio/trishula/a black rose nuke.
I think my deck needs a bit of help, it does well and is filled with options but it just needs something else. I'd put in Glow-up Bulb, Librarian, the expensive stuff such as Duality, Warnings, veilers, Brio e.t.c. if I had the money.

It's a mix between Vayu Turbo and regular Blackwings, Roan originally came up with the idea, but I messed around with the actual deck.

Monsters(22)

Spells (8)

Traps (11)

Side (15)

Extra (15)

Please comment on what you think I should change. (Other than the side, I know it's terrible.)

Maybe spirit reaper? Considering you run card trooper you might want to think about running dandylion as tech. Because I don't run blackwings, I don't know what to add after this.

Also, I got back from nationals, and at the nationals one of my friends told me a card that will, when placed in my disaster dragon side deck, DESTROY tengu plants: rivalry of warlords. Drago+ rivalry+ swords FTW!
I've been working on Gladiator Beasts, and with Roan's Deck list in mind, I came up with this:

Monsters - 11 (Click to View)

Spells - 15 (Click to View)

Traps - 14 (Click to View)

In a format as ridiculous as this, you really need to run more tech cards. Thunder king is a good tech choice as it stops the opponent if you don't have war chariot. Do you have a side deck?

I'm not a fan of reaper, Book kills it, Smashing kills it, e.t.c. I'd rather throw in Dandy, it seems an interesting tech. I'll try it out.

Book of Moon doesn't kill Spirit Reaper, actually. Spirit Reaper has been re-ruled to where it has be face up on the field for activation AND resolution of a card that targets it for it to be destroyed. Because Book of Moon flips it face down, Spirit Reaper isn't destroyed.

Same thing goes for cards like Compulsory Evacuation Device, Raiza the Storm Monarch, etc. Learn rulings plz.

Anyway, here's the weird Vayu Turbo deck I've been running the past couple of weeks. It's been playing great, I really like it (except for when I get the GK match up Crying ):

Monsters: (21)
Magic: (11)
Traps: (8)
Extra: (15)
Side: (15)
Oh didn't realise that, thanks Roan, I may run it now after hearing that.
TenguPlantTG worked out fine in my test hands for prelim build.
Gonna go to DN to test.
