I'm sorry but no deck that runs 60+ cards in Yu-Gi-Oh will ever be good. Not even Lightsworn (which mill most of their deck in a game) run that many cards, and especially not as many carp cards like the ones you listed. lol
guys cmon give my a deck a chance. anyone have YVD?? if u do pm me
I have nationals in 2 weeks time. ive got 4 decks to test

LADD Monarch that I went 5-2 at a 70 person reigonal with came 7th.
(Destroys GB, Sync Cat, Flam Cat, Quickdraw, BW) Untested against new X Sabers and Infernities.

gotta test.
Froggy Monarch.
GB
Infernities
I think Infernities are gonna be a huge flop, there are just way too many ways to counter the deck's strategy of having no hand. I can't wait to Morphing Jar an Infernity player, it's gonna be hilarious.

X Sabers, however, are starting to get ridiculous. I played against a build using the new support from TSHD on Friday with my GBs and while I did manage to win one game, the other two he completely stomped me. I'm honestly afraid of X-Sabers because there's really not much anyone can do to counter them.

The guy I played against admitted to me that he thinks GBs are the deck's worst match up, and he was surprised that he did so well against me. I sided into D-Fissure GBs thinking that that would really screw him up, but he managed to swarm so early on in the game that D-Fissure just didn't even matter.

I definitely think X-Sabers are going to be the deck to beat post-TSHD.
i run a pretty fast combo using hand and deck control to move my cards about and allow me to get what i need in my hand... this is coupled with a sick set of special summons fodder including the new and super useful cards, battle fader & jester confit... the deck can (and usually does) run up to 10 monarch cards... avarice allows reuse/drawing, fueled by hand destruction, etc... kuraz helps card flow with the destruction of dandylion tokens and shallow grave and enemy controller sort out the grave, giving a fast tribute and providing more draw through crystal seer and morphing jar... yes, it sounds badly balanced, but it has stood up to everything tier #1 extremely well...

and not a synchro in sight (yet)...

Me too. lmao
well, gotta be honest - kinda response i'd expect... (and on the evidence provided, fair enough i guess... i lol'd when even imagining the concept, but not at the construction price...)

as i learned years ago, no point in pushing a deck concept on experienced players, when they have a choice from such reliable meta favs...

It doesn't really have anything to do with you "pushing a deck concept" on us, it's just more that I can't think of a single thing that might be good about it after having read what you posted.

10 Monarchs? I mean, really? Are you serious? And besides that, Kuraz? No one in their right mind (outside of Exodia Prohibition/Deep Draw deck players) runs Kuraz. It's really a bad card, unless, as I said, you're abusing its draw effect with Prohibition.

Jester Confit might be cool I guess, if you're using it as tribute fodder for the Monarchs. But to be honest, there are much better cards that serve the same purpose.

Morphing Jar is an amazing card, particularly this format, and I expect it's going to ruin a lot of Infernity players, so I can't fault you for playing that. But Crystal Seer? Oh come on, why?

To be perfectly honest with you, I think the deck sounds incredibly inconsistent, and the overarching "strategy" sounds really, well... Stupid.
ok dude, i'm sure what your saying is true, anyway... thanks for taking the time to comment...

guess i'll go back to macro monarchs, GB's and DAD decks then...
Hey man, I wasn't trying to be a jerk or anything, I'm sorry if I came across that way. I'm all for original deck ideas (god knows we need them, especially after the boring carp Lightsworn vs. Zombie format we had last format), but yours just doesn't seem very good.

Maybe you could explain how it works a little better? Because just from reading what you posted earlier, there's little to no synergy in the deck at all. Maybe I'm missing something. Care to elaborate?
This format looks so great compared to past ones. You can honestly fair well against others with any competitively built deck. I can't wait to actually play regularly during summer break. I play GB's well. I've been using a build with 2 Prisma and 1 Stratos, but I'm considering changing to a weird build that controls with Rai-Oh and Wanghu when I start playing on weekends.

This was true until about a week ago when The Shining Darkness released and X-Sabers/Infernity broke the format.

Ok, more so Infernity, but X-Sabers are *pretty* frickin' broken too. If you don't have a deck that can stand up to/stop these two decks, you aren't going to be successful this format.

This format is still much better than the last one, but it was even better pre-TSHD.
Played my mates exodia deck yesterday ,got him down to 100LP with my RDL out the box deck before he pulled all peices of exodia Tired his deck is so well made tho
Yeah, I guess Infernity and X-Sabers are going to start dominating, but if you look at the top 32 deck lists for the YCS in Virginia, there were quite a few different decks. A Gadget deck managed to beat an Infernity deck for 1st place as well.

X-Sabers are probably stronger than Infernity at the moment, since there are so many counters to Infernity decks...

I'm really liking the Scrap archetype. I'm definitely going to try them out when they are released here. Fabled too.
I might be running this for nats if i have some bottle.

I like that, but don't Rose and Summoner Monk kind of clash against the control of the deck? I'd say lose those and add Books. Book is amazing.
monk and rose usualy create more control. i usualy try to hold onto monk as long as i can then wait till they have very few outs left then i can drop a well placed syncro to finish them off. its also realy easy access to stardust.

book wrecks this deck in not even going to joke about it. unfortunately i cant realy justify using it tho a lot of the cards in there deal with problems a lot better than book does.
Why do people list what set the cards they're using are from?

It's not like anyone really cares. lol Sorry, raritywhores just annoy me.
