Decrease of quality in the WBO.

A problem that I have found is that the quality of the members have been decreasing by a large amount. It seems that most of our new members that are under the age of 16 are not reading the rules or reading the first PM that they get. This is an encounter with a new member that has necro bumped a thread from two years ago for no leginimate reason when she could have made her own thread because she did not read the rules. Then the post of another member trying to point her in the right direction, and her awful, rude response. And then the point where I actually SNAP.

It was two years ago, it was long DEAD. You did not help at all. you just cluttered the forum and started an argument. You are so lucky that the committee has new staff. the old ones would've aready warned you.
This forum has dropped in the quality of their members.
No one even reads the first PM they get or even bothers to read the rules, they just post stupidly in random threads thinking that they're funny, or in this case, CUTE. Well it is NOT cute and it fills this forum with clutter.
I have seen all of you posts and they have little discussional value.
If you read the rules (Which I know you haven't) you would actually kn ow what I am talking about. I am becoming less and less active because I am sick of the quality of the forum. I will be posting these quotes in the improvement thread. To at least get the committee to get more moderators, at least 2 per forum.

And P.S. Dont yell at a person trying to correct you, it makes YOU look like an idiot. Especially when you were the one who was wrong.

This kind of response would have gotten a warning two years ago, so whsat I would like is for the WBO to get specific people to mod forums like the media forum. There should be at least two mods for every forum to increase the quality of the WBO.

Have you reported that post at all ? Because seriously, do you just expect us to find everything as soon as it happens if you do not point us toward it ?

By the way, that Member got a twenty-percent warning for necromancy today, and they will keep getting more if they do not stop, in the future.


Do you have any other examples, or can I lock this topic ? I think we reasonably try to maintain the quality of the posts here as high as possible, but perhaps you are not reading the right forums ...

Use the report function, rather than taking it upon yourself to pretend to be a moderator, please, and do not go to the lengths of insulting users, either - it is not your place.

Furthermore, we will not be hiring two moderators for every forum - that would be obscenely superfluous. We have three globals and five Committee Members, and that is enough - many would even argue it is more than enough. It is not like there are a hundred posts in each forum each day - many of them see less than 20 a day.

Yeah you can lock it for now. But I'll PM you when I find more examples. (Most examples are already in the closed forum.

There are plenty 11 year olds here. Most of them reading rules. I am quite young myself.

I don't care, that doesn't excuse you creating this topic to single out one member. She only joined recently and right now she must be feeling really unwelcomed thanks to your heroic antics. Try using some tact next time.

The point is that you are not allowed to go around laying into people that way, whether you're "fed up" or not.

Moreover, you're telling this child that the old CMs would've warned her for that minor infraction - and such warnings are not handed out on first offenses, generally, by anyone. It is nowhere near your place to speak on our behalf.
