Yo WBO!
I'm the father of two boys 9 and 6 who enjoy Beyblades. The 9 y.o. specifically was interested to explain some of the technical aspects to me as his hobby grew, which caught my attention. Seeing his passion, I spent some time to play with him and found myself tinkering with builds to challenge him. Looking on-line for the best places to buy Beyblades, I found the TT/Hasbro distinction and started absorbing a good deal of info from the Youtube experts out there before investing in a bigger collection.
Living in Canada, it took a while to track down trustworthy sources with fair prices for TT beys, but I settled on ever-wish and theportal0. Our collection has grown rapidly since and my son has expressed an interest to host a play-day/mini-tourney with his friends and perhaps start a club at his school. As such, I began to look at resources and info online and found WBO. It was nice to find an international group of bladers - including Canadians - who we might be able to look to for advice, so - Hello!
Our burning questions right now:
1. Is there a place to watch GT (Anime) in good quality with English subs or dubs? I'm only guessing that Hasbro deciding not to follow TT into GT has made the advertising value of supporting the Anime in NA pointless?
2. Are there any physical (or on-line) retailers of TT beys in Canada, or are hands-tied by being on Hasbro turf?
3. Where did/do you get the B-00 big beystadium? (Other than ebay for $250+... ouch!)
Cheers all,
RWZ
