Custom Beyblade X: Tanooki Leaf 6-60WN

I made a custom Bit Beast for Beyblade X a while ago, "Tanooki Leaf". After sometime thinking about what I can do with it, I decided to make a full Beyblade design for it. The line for my Bey is the BX line, for a more simple design of the Bey. I also introduce new parts that haven't been seen yet, with the Bit being a callback to an older part in the franchise. I mostly made this for fun as an artist, and not as a toy designer, so feel free to share your thoughts on this Beyblade I designed.

I present to you, Tanooki Leaf 6-60WN

Blade: Tanooki Leaf
The Blades depict a set of leaves, three feature a leaf design with an Allen Key screw, and the other three feature a hole that looks like a prayer bead.

Ratchet: 6-60
The Ratchet features 6 points, and stands at 6.0mm. A new part not seen as of August 10, 2024.

Bit: Wide Needle
The Bit features a needle tip that is wider and sits lower to the ground, low Burst resistance, and has 16 teeth around the Bit. The Bit itself was inspired by the Wide Defense performance tip from Metal Fight.
man, this is absolutely BEAUTIFUL
it's kinda what I would imagine the 6-60 ratchet being, and that blade design is just stunning.

Bringing back WD would be nice to help out the rather poor representation of Defense types in X, so I love the bit.

The blade looks great, and I'm really impressed by your creativity. Kind of wish we had a side view of the blade, just so we could get a better grasp on the overall geometry of it.

My one piece of criticism, for lack of a better term, would be the magatama cutouts. They look great in a render, and would be fine on an ornamental piece, but if this were actually produced (say, by BenchBlade), they'd be structural weak points, since the point at the end of the cutout would form a stress riser, and concentrate the force of impact there, which would cause breakage. It's the same principle that's lead to the new mold for Unicorn Sting.

Overall, I love this, and I wish I had the artistic talent to design my own bey.

Glad you enjoyed it. If I had a good PC I'd try my hand in making the Bey in Blender for a better idea of the top. I also didn't know that the cutouts would become a problem, so thanks for the critique! Definitely have some ideas brewing to revamp the design and maybe even make a UX and CX version if given the chance!
