Inside of a monitor lab that controls a test server inhabited by AIs controlled by human brains, a virus attacks the server. Alex and Nathan must gain the aid of all the gods upholding each of the 200+ countries to have the strength to beat the virus before the server is shut down by it.
“Yet another success! We have fully developed PESRPG!”
“This project is a beautiful masterpiece!”
The brains under domes in the lab I currently stand in are real. I don’t understand how these could be legally used. With the clipboard in my hand I am to take notes on the project. Any viruses, or bugs. Things to save records for if we need to fix them. I am to monitor the server and report back to its founder. Gabriel Hanes.
The beta has just finished. Things are in place. All that I don’t know is why they created this.
For what purpose? So many experiments and time. Blood, sweat, and tears were all put into this project, yet all it really is, is a fantasy version of our own planet.
Here I stand, my back turned to those fools acting so excited about this stupid project. I don’t even know why I participated in this project. Its development, or anything to do with it. I could’ve been working on something with more of a purpose.
As I hover over the hologram monitor of this new world, I watch the blue sunset as a couple watches it together. I smile, as the happiness shown by AIs is just as real as a human being. Then I remember that these are controlled by real brains.
Red lights flash in the hologram model. Only for a bit. A text appears over it saying VIRUS DETECTED. I write it on my clipboard and rush to Gabriel Hanes so he could try to fix it.
“I just heard about it, I will look into it more,” He says as he types up our project name into his computer. Some results show up and then the screen went red. An image of the devil shows up and under it appears the text:
