Orochi just arrived at work. Initial impressions are very positive.
I am feeling the new Motorolla Droid big time. It looks understated and high quality.

I hate the design of the phone (it's so square and ugly!), but all of the features and everything else look really solid. I'm curious to see how it performs in the marketplace.

Having a beautiful screen is worthless if you don't like holding the device and the GUI is garbage. Wink
Returning Razer Orochi. Bluetooth lag is unbearable. I give up on Bluetooth. Ordered Logitech Anywhere Mouse MX from newegg. Fourth mouse in a month. Ugh.
Why are people so obssessed with mouses :\ I find my mouse on my pc perfect.

because i work on a computer all day and would like to be comfortable while i do it
have u ever considered getting a laser mouse? sure they're wired but with no lag and sensitivity up to or over 5600dpi you would be mad not to consider it.

wireless mouses also have laser

and no i want a wireless mouse. i don't need 5600 dpi to write a word document and browse the internet

the razer orochi i'm returning works amazing in wired mode. but i want a wireless mouse, so that's kind of useless.

besides from them being cool... why do you need/want a wireless mouse? when a wired mouse does it better and more presice! I mean sure your not a gamer but you seem to be constantly annoyed by your mouses performane so the simplest solution here is to get it wired!

because i use a laptop and a wireless mouse is infinitely more convenient
My friend has this tecknet bluetooth mouse and its awesome, it didnt lag (well it didnt when i was there), it was comfortable and the scroll noise was silent. And it has a signal range of 8 - 10M which is awesome. And the bluetooth usb thing is sooo small Tongue_out And its free shipping in UK So im getting this on friday!!!!!!!!

EDIT: Wait, its no bluetooth

ughhhhhhhhhh well its still awesome wireless

This puzzled me, so did some digging, seems that lag is inherent to all BT mice... such as the orochi. limitation of the bandwith or protocol

some mouse discussion
Blue, it's definitely inherent but some makers have gotten around it. My two weeks with the Kensington Slimblade Trackball Mouse were lag-free, but I didn't like the shape or the sound of the scroll ball. I've never had lag with any Apple BT mouse, either, but again, I don't like them.

Anyway, the Orochi is going back now so it doesn't matter.

I actually experience some lag with mine every now and then, but it's nothing that's persistent and bad enough to annoy me.
Should be getting my mouse tomorrow Smile

You really should not base your mouse purchases on which one looks prettiest.

Hopefully getting an iPhone 3GS tomorrow.
no iPhone for me today, lost my photo ID and they won't let me get one without it Unhappy
What? They won't let you buy an iPhone cause you don't have ID? Why?

Kinda hard to sign a contract when you can't prove that you're the person whose name you're signing. Wink
Yeah, exactly. I'll have photo ID next week or so so no huge deal, but I was excited about it. Oh well!

On the plus side, Logitech Anywhere Mouse MX came in today. Love love love. Comfy, no lag. Goodbye Orochi.
