With Beyblade bringing in so much attention recently, and my own personal desire to battle growing larger, it didn't take long to realize that there were no organizations, nor even events, in the Columbus, Georgia area. So, I decided "Why not do it yourself??"! I've thus created "Columbus B-Pit" to begin garnering interest for Beyblade in the area, and to collaborate with local hobby stores and locations to host events aimed for Bladers of ALL ages from ALL generations! This post is merely to garner interest, and see if anyone is excited about the coming things in the area! (Feel free to comment or message!)
The first of our events is planned to be a "B.Y.O.B. (Bring Your Own Beyblade) Generations" Event.
THE EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE ON TUESDAY, MARCH 4th, 2025 AT HOBBYTOWN-UPTOWN ON BROADWAY STREET COLUMBUS, GEORGIA FROM 1:00-5:30pm!!!
This event will feature an Unranked 3 on 3 format Beyblade X tournament, 1 on 1 format Beyblade Metal Fight Series battle area, as well as room to bring your own stadiums and equipment to battle on your own ground! A Columbus B-Pit specialty will also be bey repair and refurbishing, with the hope to serve as a real-life B-Pit (Repair shop for Beys in the Metal Fight series anime) where applicable, and to refurbish/polish old beys to a new-looking state.
Unranked 3 on 3 Beyblade X tournament:
This is intended to test the waters of the local Beyblade X community, and get a feel for hosting events/tournaments in a more official way. The hope is that, in the future, we will be able to host ranked tournaments on an official scale, with real competetive spirit growing within the community. This tournament will be held in a standard 3 on 3 deck format, with 4 point First Stages and 7 point Final Stages. Restrictions will be limited, and the main focus will be fun!
1 on 1 Beyblade Metal Fight Series Battles:
As most know, Beyblade X has been the generation to bring Bladers from past generations (like myself) back into the scene in a big way. These beyblade battles are meant to scratch the itch for battle for Bey's of the past! Bladers of all ages still welcome and encouraged, of course! But the beys in these battles must be MFS, with no restrictions or bans (spare MS tip, as the goal is also to preserve older stadiums where possible). Quality, non-lead infested midfakes accepted and encouraged to preserve the state of older beys if wished! Future MFS tournaments possible if interest arises!
Bring your own stadiums and battle!:
Hobbytown Uptown has been gracious enough to allow the event to be held at their location, which features an ample amount of play space for bladers in the back of the store. There will be tables set up for tournament matches, as well as tables set up for bladers to use their own stadiums! Columbus B-Pit will only be able to provide 6 different stadiums to use for battle, including tournament grade stadiums for the tournament matches. These are the "Beyblade Burst: QuadDrive Stadium", the "Beyblade Burst: Turbo Slingshock Stadium", the "Beyblade Burst: Evolution SwitchStrike Battle Tower", 3 "Beyblade X Hasbro Beystadium", and 2 Beyblade X tournament grade stadiums.
Columbus B-Pit Bey Repair and Refurbishing:
A secondary goal of Columbus B-Pit is to help bladers maintain a condition of their beys that they can be proud of! My journey back into this Beyblade generation started in my adult life with polishing and cleaning old Metal Fight beys. While at this first event, I will not be able to offer much more than polishing and cleaning and perhaps paint touchups where applicable, I hope to be able to offer a service of replacement parts and true repair at future events. Research will be done on all generations of Beys, and once finding the crowd that will attend these events I will be able to offer repair and refurbishing on all generation Beys! It is only one event of interest away!
At this time, HobbyTown currently does not carry Beyblades in store. While HobbyTown staff is looking to get some Beyblade's in from distributors by the time of the event, there is no gaurauntee that this will be the case and bladers should be prepared with their own Bey's on arrival. If this changes, and Beyblade sets with launchers are sold by the time of the event, this post will be updated as well as our Facebook page!
