I'm considering becoming an event organizer and hosting a tournament (Beyblade X), but I want to gauge general interest in the Chicagoland area first. I live about 45 minutes to an hour outside the city in McHenry County, so my preferred location would be somewhere in the Algonquin, Crystal Lake, Huntley, or Lake in the Hills Area. It's a quick drive for those in Chicago who would want to participate while also sparing those outside of the city the stress of Chicago traffic and overall busyness. As far as when, I'm looking at September 28th, 2024, as an ideal date. It's not too far away and is a Saturday. I'm thinking of naming the tournament Fall Kickoff Tournament or something like that.

Sounds great! though fyi it takes 3 months to become an organizer so name might not completely fit. I'm in the Illinois area and recently became an organizer so look out for some stuff that I do since I'm pretty close to Chicago and I'm in Gurnee

Hey all, I decided that October 5th would work better as a date since another major Illinois tournament is happening on the 28th. I created the event on Challonge since my application to the WBO may take a while. If you're interested in participating in the tournament, I plan on having it at Deicke Park in Huntley. I’m based in Hyde Park and also interested in becoming a TO! There’s a local game/comic shop that I’d like to organize events at, if there’s enough interest
Im from the Schaumburg area, I have 4 friends that just started and would be interested in playing!
I'm not in Chicago but am in Gurnee, keep an eye out these next few weeks as I am going to try to post a tournament soon!

I'm out of Palatine, definitely looking to find some bladers around here
Trying to talk to some of my local shops to maybe start a weekly or monthly kind of club or get together some time soon, just need more people interested!
