No, words were twisted. At most it'll just be advertised at the Olympics. Beyblade couldn't really work as a sport anyway.
I reject your reality and substitute my own!!!!!
Definitely not just in denial.....
I mean if anything there is a small chance we could get it at the Olympics but at the far future. In Asia tournaments seem to be pretty well with places besides Japan like Singapore, Phillippines, and Malaysia even having big areas for X Events at their malls. So the likely hood of a Beyblade X Olympics could start in Asia. Even in countries such as France, Beyblade has held big events. North America wise we are kind of at a lost with most Americans/other countries seeing Beyblade as a mere child game however you can make the same argument about a lot of actual sports being for kids. Not to mention a majority of our fanbase are adults and the recent Gamestop "tournament" proved that. We saw Beyblade X popularity at NY Comic Con and as a past example there are 2004 World Beyblade Championships which if I did my research right, was aired on TV and had a big audience. With the marketing of X as well, as long as Hasbro paints BeyX as a more of a sport, we have a decent chance of somewhat making it into the Olympics. But still I doubt that will happen so what most likely will happen is TT and Hasbro could team up and make their own independent world tournaments
At most the Texas beyblade league would have to adapt to these changes and therefore get locations the world over therefore texas's taxes cannot even pay unless we help them so slight possibility for 2028?
Takara Tomy eventually wants to get Beyblade X into the olympics and have taken steps to try to do so including calling Beyblade "Gear Sports" It will take some time if that is what they want because of logistics and getting the Olympics Commission to see it as a sport. So we still have years to go.
What exactly are the rules that classify something as an Olympic sport?

it's a mouthful, but the main thing stopping Beyblade from becoming an Olympic sport is because it falls under the "mind game" criteria. Basically something that's more about smarts and knowledge rather than physical skill or extortion(Ex. Motorsports, Drone racing, eSports, etc.). This is also why chess, despite being recognized as a sport, won't be becoming an event anytime soon.
Another big reason why Beyblade isn't becoming an Olympic sport is because it's not recognized as a sport to begin with. The Olympic committee recognizes a sport when it recognizes a governing body that manages the sport. Beyblade doesn't really have one of those, and the closest thing is B4/WBBA, which honestly feels like it's pretending to be some type of important body of sorts. Regardless, IOC doesn't recognize them, so there's no chance to begin with.
