I went back on tv tropes and saw a lot of edits, lots more people were adding content to the pages (which is amazing) so I went to Zero G's page and I had a lot to think about the season overall. Some say its the worst Beyblade season, others think its alright. I personally found it alright, and trust me, its not the worst Beyblade season. That honor goes to Beyradierz Shogun (even Wheelz was more fun than that garbage).
True, the episode length should've been 51 episodes with full length. I'm glad the US and South Korea did the smart thing and air episodes 39-52/19-26, seriously, what the hell Japan. Yeah I know they wanted to air with B-Daman Crossfire and Fireblast....which were also good but not the point.
As for the characters. I don't have a problem with Zero. He's not annoying and wants to be Gingka successor's, helps that he trains himself physically too moreso than Tyson and Gingka but I don't see him as bland either. The scene where Shinobu lost to Kira and he got extremely pissed, destroying a whole junkyard in anger: quality. From the protagonists side: Shinobu was a fun take on a rival, Ren was adorable and you know, actually bey battled (shocking she's 50%-50% in win records), Takonosuke was cool, Sakyo was the highlight, and I was okay with Maru.
My problem with the main characters was the Unabara Brothers. Eight was ultimately pointless battle wise, and Kite mostly won with Synchrome Beys and even then he usually lost. In the lost episodes, they got better with Kite defeating Kai's lookalike and the two teaming up against Xiao. Hell, they don't even have solo special moves.
As for the villains, Kira, Yoshio, Doji, and Xiao were the most interesting. The others were alright, I like how.....carp I forgot their names except Captain Archer were also based on the original Bladebreakers/G Revolution.
Most of the battles were decent or good, I especially love the Civil War in the beginning of the Lost episodes when Zero's friends and the WBBA Bladers vs the DNA bladers and leaders in main stadium.
Also, screw the dub for not airing that final scene with the cameos from everyone in the Metal Saga. Psrt of the reason why the episodes should've been longer was they we could've had the new generation interact and learn from the recent to improve themselves.
Overall, I don't hate the season, just thought it was okay. Thoughts?
