Just saw a better picture, I can confirm that Valt’s eyes definitely aren’t black.

I honestly think people (no offense Admiral, I respect you, I really do but I would assume this includes you too) have gotten too fond of Valt to realize that he has remained here doing the same thing or similar since Cho-z. He’s mentored and fought darkness since forever and it hasn’t been all bad but burst honestly been on the the decline since s2 in terms of reception and it’s getting progressively worse. I have to say, the constants are probably one of the biggest reasons next to the writing. A change would probably be for the better and that includes Valt IMO. I like where they are going with this because it could potentially shift burst onto a new light.

declining?from what I've heard it's the contrary sparking did good a Japan.  they people that complain most or the outsiders,  theirs one thing alot of people keep forgetting burst is target for kids not many of us who either grew up in the og or mfb saga they don't really care about fans from this era if watch it you watch it if you don't well kids will still watch it which is the purpose.  the older audience buy the beys to play competitively even an Japan theirs a group that only cares about the beys while another cares about the anime (the kids part more) & still get the guys cause parents will buy them for their kids.  look at Pokemon the anime had been their for 20 years with same main characters with the same age is only recently the add another main but ash is still very much their even though they lost older fans the got a bunch of new ones for they anime while the older ones buy the games & it's still going.  as long as get the view & sell want from their audience they'll continue doing what they do  even if most from wbbo stop watching the anime it won't really hurt them cause the kid is really their target not really us that's business

You do have some good points in there especially about kids watching it. I still hold some of my beliefs and I think Pokémon has experimented with portraying their characters differently within seasons as opposed to burst with Valt but there is a lot of truth in what you say.

Well Japan isn’t the only country. If we look around the world in countries that aren’t Japan kid are loosing interest.

oh yea your correct about Pokemon as someone who watch all the season till now . they have done a few experiment but the story is still as the same goal.  now theirs one thing we need to factor on why Pokemon had a few of those experiment it's cause of how many episode they had which gives them alot of creative on writing and characters as a whole.  if burst had that amount of episode & time alot of old and new characters would have benefit greatly.  but I use Pokemon as an example to try an calm everyone down a bit to remember this things i mentioned haha.  you still correct about Pokemon having some more experiments though

that's they thing Japan companies really cared about their audience more than outsiders theirs alot of anime that has blown outside of Japan that never got a sequel . they ones that blow up outsider of Japan happen to also be blowing in Japan the best example is jujitsu kaisen it's popular both way theirs other anime that's the same it's a win win for them either way . why do you think mfb or even the og stop? they very popular worldwide and the they still stop it cause their audience lost interested at some point which cause them to stop doing them despite being successful overseas another example would be franchise's like garo and kamen rider their popularity is really an Japan theirs people outside of Japan that don't know about them . yet their still making toys and getting series adaption.

True, but it doesn’t change the fact that burst is declining in popularity.

i mean sparking still did good for them they decline during cho z ironically than got stable back in gt than doing good for sparking despite how the world is right now.  an honestly it happens to every franchise even the bigger ones but as long as they get the minimum they want they'll continued doing what their doing & when it Doesn't their going to move on to another like how buddyfight stop doing good but put they efforts on vanguard now . than return & recycle over and over again cause their going to get new audience that's how things go . we just have to decide whether or not if we ride with it or not .

Welp, there goes all of our speculations that Valt is more relevant this season than in the last ones. I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing tho (also, can you dm me the picture if you have it?)
Also found a picture with better lightning form a different angle. Lui looks almost identical to Sparking, Shu's fit is similar to his second one is Sparking, Free's is like his Cho-Z one but with more blue. Valt's eyes are normal, and he has a red hoodie on but he already know that. Also the kid to left of Rangara definitely seems to have white hair for sure.

Yeah Lui, Shu and Free barely have a design change. Honestly kind of sucks.

Maybe they won't get as much screentime? I could see them not putting that much budget into a side character.

I'm not talking about a simple change in role, I'm talking about a tectonic shift in who a person is at their core. The character has now become a different character. There not the same person at that point. That's a drastic change that is completely unnecessary. Turning Valt evil won't make him better and betrays everything he stands for, everything that makes him who he is as far as I'm concerned.

I agree. Making Valt evil is a bad idea and it is a drastic character change that is unnecessary, plus it is a betrayal in my opinion, because he stands for basically everything good about blading.

Yesss Shu is back(sorry for everyone who hates Shu)! I tried to find a picture with better lighting and a different angle like the one you found but it didn’t work, so thanks!

Considering they're shoved into the bottom right corner, it makes them look uh, just a TAD bit less relevant. At this point, they're just bringing em back for the fans even if they're beyond their time.
