Beyblade Burst DB Anime and Manga discussion

I'm thinking along those lines, perhaps using the darkness in service of the light. Some Mace Windu vibes.

Meantime Valt aligns himself with someone (the guy on the poster who looked like him) and tricks him into making his dark power even more dangerous than Red Eye, Phi, Lain, and Arthur combined

I like this idea. I’ve had enough of the same old mystical Valt stuff. I want to see him get turned.

That would be interesting if done right, seeing him get turned to the dark side. Only problem is that basically goes against everything he stands for, so maybe this 'fantasy' element could provide a good reason as to why.

The thing is, he isn’t willingly turning so it isn’t as bad. It does seem like characters can be mentally dominated in beyblade so it’s possible.

That is where the good reason comes in, so yes, I agree. Still don't like that the undying 3 are still here in the anime taking up slots. Maybe something special will happen with them, but I might be stretching too far.
I love Valt for who he is, what he stands for, and what he means to the blading world. I don't want to see that snuffed out. Perhaps some have gotten bored with that, though I'd wager if that's the case it's a small minority, I haven't. I love those things about him, and I want to see that continue.

That’s my point. He aligns himself with the “real villain” in a condition that makes him vulnerable to be manipulated as he is already corrupted and the timing makes it easy to make him worse
I don't mind change, but that's just a bridge too far for me. It feels like a betrayal of who Valt is.
New Kiyama huh...they should have at least tease him as one of the audience in sparking's tournament,I like how they show a young fubuki at the end of god/evolution,later on have a student&mentor connection with shu in cho-z
Consistently using the same roles they established for Valt in Cho-z, Gt and Sparking was bound to change at some point

People love Valt because he's Valt, take away the things that make him, him, and you now have a different characters. There's no necessity in stripping him of who he is. That's a betrayal of the character.

This has been done to heroes countless times in numerous works. Many of those works have enhanced the characters or made them better. It’s not a betrayal anymore than it is development or a new route in the story. Besides, he wouldn’t ideally be turning on his own.

I'm not talking about a simple change in role, I'm talking about a tectonic shift in who a person is at their core. The character has now become a different character. There not the same person at that point. That's a drastic change that is completely unnecessary. Turning Valt evil won't make him better and betrays everything he stands for, everything that makes him who he is as far as I'm concerned.

Neither will keeping him the same. A change is honestly what burst needs at this point.

I second this
Bell is a evil guy who calls him slef a deamon kin, he wants to turn every one evil espacailly the Legends. Valt gives him the whats know and teaches him a lesson then he becomes a good guy, then a new and greater evil arises and bell and his Freinds/Rivals and Legends want to stop it.

I also don't want Valt to turn evil, it just goes against everything he's done in the past.

I disagree completely. Valt is fine the way he is. I don't mind a change but nothing as drastic as that.

I honestly think people (no offense Admiral, I respect you, I really do but I would assume this includes you too) have gotten too fond of Valt to realize that he has remained here doing the same thing or similar since Cho-z. He’s mentored and fought darkness since forever and it hasn’t been all bad but burst honestly been on the the decline since s2 in terms of reception and it’s getting progressively worse. I have to say, the constants are probably one of the biggest reasons next to the writing. A change would probably be for the better and that includes Valt IMO. I like where they are going with this because it could potentially shift burst onto a new light.
No one be talking about how Hasbro’s going to be censoring this season.

I mentioned that a lil bit ago. Probably some heavy censoring lol, hopefully it doesn't ruin the season.

The decline for Burst has been in the writing, not in the legacy characters (Valt, Shu, Lui, Free etc) That's the problem I've had with season 3 and beyond. Valt always being that champion for what blading is really about is something I'll always appreciate about the character. I don't mind a change, but not something as drastic as changing everything that makes Valt who he is. I love Valt for who he is. I respect your opinion but I just can't agree with those points.

The constants and writing really go hand in hand. If things always repeat the same way then we may as well not have an anime and the the legacy characters getting a lot of flack for their return, at least that’s what I believe. Regardless, I also respect your opinion so we gotta agree to disagree.

What I will say is that I appreciate that we can always discuss and even disagree on things and it always be civil.

I third that (as long as the thing with Valt is done correctly, of course. He doesn't have to be a villain in the literal sense of the word; maybe just an antagonist or even just using a new kind of power that may not be evil at all).
