Batman is my favorite, because he shows that you don't need superpowers or be the "chosen one" to make a difference. He uses his own money to become the protector of his city, so no one has to experience what he did. (Parents shot/killed in front of him, at 8 years old.)
Not to mention the awesome fact that unlike other heroes, he works with the police, even though some of them hate Batman.

Also, Michael Keaton will always be the best Batman. (Burton's rocked!)
