Well, back in the time when Beyblade was supposed to be quite famous in India, there were BBA tournaments in certain malls all over the country!
At that time, the tourneys were similar to WBO ones if one was to consider the format. The prizes given were awesome!
IIRC, the prizes given were-
1st prize- A Tornado Attack Stadium + any two Beyblades by TT/Hasbro.
2nd prize- Any four Beyblades by TT/Hasbro
3rd prize- Any two Beyblades by TT/Hasbro

I remember that once I placed second, and got a Zeus, Dragoon F, Driger V2 and a Makendo!

Yes there were age limits.
It was because of the sole reason that an "adult" would have a more powerful launch than a child etc etc.

Oh, and I also remember the Landmark tourneys, where winners got a beyblade (of their choice) each, and there was always someone dressed as one of the anime characters, with whom the winners would take a picture.

I wished i knew about this at that time... And what was the age limit?
Also i found on the net that funskools also hosts tourneys in india, the latest i guess was in Ahmedabad, i just saw they were using hasbro stadiums and maybe no age limits since those guys were around the age 22 or less

I just placed 1st(Gold) at a WBBA tournament in Singapore 2 days ago,and I'd say, I was pretty please with the prizes that i got

haha, once I went to a Toys R' Us tournament, and the prizes I won were:

4 Metal Masters tops
1 Beyblade Stadium
A Beyblade handbook
A Beyblade Tote
A Galaxy Pegasus W105R2F
And the store I went to gave me a free Crushing Blast Hasbro Double pack for winning 1st prize

Haha, yes. The best prize I've gotten was at a "tournament" at school where we all chipped in and have the winner a few parts each, IIRC. I won this was in 6th grade, I think.
