Mattel brought it out again in 2003:

One toy I would have loved as a kid would definitely have to be Spinja's

For a few hundred dollars, you can still buy them! http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=spinjas...m=R40&_ipg=

The big battle arena is pretty epic though. http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Spinjas-Batt...286.c0.m14

Also there is a spinning top museum in Wisconsin haha http://www.topmuseum.org/

I can't find any mention of Beyblade, though. Unhappy

I didn't even notice that haha awesome!
In all seriousness, I feel like we should organize some sort of WBO field trip to this place in the next year. Opinions?
Only local members will be able to go to it unless were gonna fish out or money and put it all together Tongue_out Would be easier if we called it BeyDay and every participating WBO Country should take a picture and send it to them!
maybe this sounds arrogant but i think it's ridiculous that a spinning top museum has nothing on the best selling spinning top of all time
I was actually a little perturbed when I went to the Strong National Museum of Play with Blue a month or so back, and there was nothing on Beyblade there. The place is literally a TOY museum, with thousands of display cases chronicling the history of toys from hundreds of years ago to a couple years ago. Considering the popularity of beyblade, I would have expected to see at least one or two tops in one of the modern displays.

Agreed. Should someone contact them? I'm sure they could work something out to where we could pitch an exhibit to them, and it could be sponsored (probably with Beys/Stadiums/Acc.) by the WBO. Great advertising opp!
I think it could be a cool idea.
Well, lets do it xD

Seems to be a contact method. There's a phone number too. I'm thinking that the committee or a few members can write up a semi-formal letter from the WBO with our idea. Yea/nay?

Go to number 309...
If that doesn't remind you of a certain Beyaccessory, I'm shocked.
Burlington, Wisconsin is one hell of a drive from Rochester. And only slightly less from Toronto. I'm not entirely against the idea though. I would be slightly more interested if we could convince them to update their museum with some modern tops though.

I'd love to see some beyblades at the museum of play as well, I've been meaning to check out that museum for months. My friends go every so often and it sounds like a lot of fun.

I've never seen these before, that would be a really good design to use for anyone making their own battle tops.

WINK WINK, NUDGE NUDGE
So I'm going to start work on the letter then. Any input on what should go in would be nice.
Of course, I won't sign it, I'll be running it by the committee and let them decide what to do with it.
