30fps baby. also I will have a Tripod.. but peopledo we want resolution to be 320x280 or 640x480

But imo I think only one battle should happen at a time. ie. sure there are three matches but after one battle it moves from station 1-2-3 then 1-2-3 and then remaining battles matches with 1-1 score.

And that would really depend on turn out. which we have no idea. if its large then well, scratch that.

@ carina- yea, isn't there??

640x480 would be best, imo. That way in case you want the videos to be made available for download, then it's at least a semi-decent quality. I definitely post any video I take up on something like MediaFire, so I'm aiming for decent picture quality. Then again, I checked my camera and my 4GB card can hold approx half an hour of 640x480, but an hour and a half of 320x280. It all depends on how much you want to record, I guess. I'm trying to avoid dragging my laptop along, but if someone has a laptop or something to do media dumps that'd be great. The only problem is my camera needs software to upload stuff. :<

I thought there was some sort of list, but I guess not. I kind of want to know who all is going so I can look forward to meeting them. Unhappy

I'll have my laptop with me. Do you have USB? I don't have a card reader. Since I have a Mac, I imagine your camera will work plug-n-play just fine.
im bringing my laptop as well which has a card reader and i have a mess of AV and other cables sitting inside my bag. im also bringing my camera. if you need software to use your camera lemme know what it is and ill get it before the weekend
Thanks guys. I'll bring my USB cable along to see if it works with your computer, Brad, and if not then Fleets' card reader should work. The program that goes with it is some Canon one, since my camera is a bit fancier than most point and shoots. @w@ I just really wanted to avoid taking another bag with me for my laptop since I'm crunched for space as it is in the hotel, and it's less hassle trying to get through customs in Vancouver if I only have one bag. |D
Good luck to those that are going to be doing this. Funny this is on the same day we have the expo for anime in London, I can't go though.Unhappy
I am going to be there. Whether I play or not I haven't really decided yet, but I'll definitely be showing up.
Well, my mother just phoned me an I'm apparantly staying at the Marriott now instead of the Holiday Inn. I'm a bit closer to the Renaissance now, so thats good.

Why wouldn't you want to play? Confused
I'm pretty sure I'm not going since I can't really involve having some of my relatives in MI drive me up there for a bit and not have a place for them to stay. I'm looking forward towards the videos from there though.

Damn, thats a shame. Unhappy I was looking forward to seeing you there! Not much can be done though, I suppose.

got the model of the camera? i could probably find the program for it with that
Since we're using a bunch of different people's cameras, it's probably a good idea for all videographers to mention who's battling in each video before the battle starts, just so we know who's who in all the vids.

Canon Powershot A570.
can you believe I went out and bough a 2GB card for this. xp

anyway I agree with the 640x480, my camera would be able to hold half hour + 7 mins or so.
Chris/Fleet, does your reader support xD-picture cards? other wise *sigh* I have a card reader too hahaha

@ G: Man, carp luck. I'd have liked to meet you man.

also for those who remeber lonewolf/the adnan will be there

Well you see I lack an HMS grip and I'm not a very gracious loser. Chances are I won't make it far anyway and on top of all that I don't even own big attackers like Advance Attacker or even any of the gimmick series so yeah I'm of the opinion play to win or don't play at all. (No room for amateurs with all you guys knowing so much more right?)

Plus I'm tricking out my plastic grip so that would be the thing for me to use since it's gonna be so damn pretty.

BTW when you pre-register for AN do you get the pass in the mail or do you like bring the receipt to someone there and they give you your stuff? Obviously with this being my first pre-registering I haven't a clue.

i believe it should. at least it lists it with a whole bunch of others overtop where the reader is
Yeah, I'll be 18 by then so hopefully I'll just be able to fly on my own and such. I reallyyyy wish I could have met up all of you too Unhappy
Your parents aren't letting you fly on your own because you're under 18?! D:

I've been zippin' around solo since I was like 13 D:

Print off your badge receipt and bring it to pre-reg along with a piece of ID. You'll get it at the con. If you go on Thursday you'll miss most of the lines, but get there early enough Friday and you should be fine (this is speaking from general con experience, I haven't done AN reg in forever).

Makes sense, but I'm only going Saturday and Sunday so yeah... Still it beats the hell out of that monster line for registering on the same day right?
actually from my experience the line for on site registration is usually smaller and moves faster then the pre-reg lines. but ya for AN you just print out the email and get in the appropriate line and you should be good

Did you go last year? the line for registration was literally WRAPPED AROUND THE BUILDING. It can't actually be longer at this point.
ive gone for the last few years. i always get my tickets friday though. maybe thats why the line is always so small
