Uhh, its like the downtown phx area. Staying at a place near the Phx Convention Center for the time being.
cool it would be great to battle you sometime
Man its been desolate here in the AZ community. Im hoping to hold a tournament soon. Will post info later if it happens.
Well, things sort of died down a bit after Will came along after darkwolfff kept trying to push his tournament of sorts that only Beyblade┼Spirit was able to attend, if I recall correctly. I don't ordinarily check the Galaxy Bladers Facebook page very often, so I dunno if meets have been happening each Friday.
I'm looking at Taiyou-Con as a possible means of Beyblade promotion within the Valley, seeing as it'd be way too late to try to organize something for Saboten. Only a maybe though; I wouldn't know how to go about managing loss protection or whatever when it comes to renting out Beyblades to children or hypercrazy anime convention attendees, and Amazing Arizona ComicCon is the very same weekend. (fml kinda)
AbhorEvil: I've also been hoping to organize something this October (because the heat would kill us all) but I wouldn't want to interfere if you're planning something so I'll keep it under wraps for now.
Also: Toys 'R Us is having their Beyblade "buy two, get one free" promotion; the Toys 'R Us on McDowell and Estrella had four L-Dragos the last time I checked, and I took two; So there should be two left. No sign of Earth Eagle, though. Targets in the West Valley still sorta stuck in Wave 1 mode. Wouldn't know about the rest of the Valley.

well i hope to soon come to a tournament because frankly blading by your self is boring after you find your really good combos...

Well as far as tournaments go I'm in the process of organizing something at Taiyou Con over in Mesa. Just waiting on some responses as to how I would go about organizing the thing and I'm going to send in the event/panel applications. Of course, it won't be WBO certified, but it's a great way of reaching out towards potential Bladers.
Why would it not be "WBO certified" hah ? There will not be enough participants ?
cool tell me more (pm)

There will not be enough participants ?Well, for a first time thing I wouldn't feel comfortable with charging people who may or may not be apprehensive about participating in a Beyblade tournament the $5 entry fee. To people who are very well familiar with the benefits of they WBO Beypoints system and have a WBO account already, I wouldn't mind. But since this is more of a "hype building" sort of event I'm going to refrain from mentioning any sort of entry fee unless it's confirmed that several other AZ Beybladers will be attending.
In addition, I sent my panel and event applications just yesterday, which mention nothing about an entry fee at all for the tournament. I'll know for sure by the first week of October or so if everything is greenlighted and as to whether I want to do go "balls out" with entry fees and etc.
Hey guys. My friends Roja Smitsu and RTP will be at Saboten Con this whole entire weekend [and they'll also be there Friday evening]. I will be there myself as well, but only on Sunday for a tournament. If you're a blader and you're going to Saboten, feel free to PM me if you wish to meet with them and beyblade. It won't be a tournament or anything major like that; you'll probably just meet up with them and do a meet+greet.
Thanks! We look forward to seeing any other bladers in the valley!

Quote:Hello <RTP49>,This was a bit anticipated, frankly, but still hoping this goes through!
I'm writing you to let you know that you're event, Moeru! The Taiyou Con Beyblade Metal Fusion Tournament, was not accepted for Taiyou Con this year. However, since it sounds like it can be a fun event, I am moving this to the Panel Submissions to be considered as a smaller event later on. When we select our panels and smaller events in December, I'll let you know if your event was chosen.
Thanks for your submission!

It appears that we haven't been particularly active, lately. It would be pretty great if we could get some kind of meetup going on this Fall, especially since the weather has been so nice lately. To my knowledge, Will hasn't hosted a get together at all since early September. Any interest?
I'd love to battle...especially you RTP49...you seem extremely serious about meeting up; like me. I would also love to test out my Meteo L-Drago (it should arrive in the mail within a few business days!) However i must interject that the weather has not been kind lately...we had TWO major hail storms yesterday...but none the less I would love to battle so please respond with more info
