Here, to wade off questions.

I have been a user of an Alphasmart in little over five years. I have alternated between the 3000 and the Neo 1st-Generation throughout my Junior High up until Freshman 9th grade. It all began with me struggling to write lengthy reports in the Junior High school 7th grade. My writing is otherwise terrible despite my extensive speech and vocabulary. This thing saved me from wasting notebook paper on otherwise skimpy assignments as well. I had to borrow one from the school until sophomore year where I purchased an untouched Neo.

Meh, I used one in the fourth grade (5 years ago). They weren't that special.

I guess experiences vary, mine is good but the school I graduated from can be linked to pretty bogus stereotypes thrown around about the state I live in.

IE, everybody thinks it can do Twitter and Facebook. How annoying and frankly disrespectful if you ask me.
