So im new to all this. I understand some God layers and drivers have gimmicks, but i cant find anything that describes what they are and how they work. For example, i just purchased Galaxy Zeus. Which has bearings that move thru the layer. Sadly i cant read the japanese instructions :-( ... Obviously this would shift its weight while spinning, but whats the intent? What other gimmicks are out there?
[Answered] God Gimmicks?
God valkyrie has the retracting sorta 3 point part on the layer when it slides, blaze Ragnarok also got like 2 retracting claw like features on the layer, kreis Satan got rollers on the layer, drain fafnir got rubber for spin stealing, alter cronos got 2 modes to switch between the layer, tornado wyvern got a free spinning layer, killer deathscyther got one retracting part (though it does nothing), have no idea what seig xcalibur has, legend spriggan got dual rotation, blast jinnius layer moves upwards, shelter regular layer has parts on the layer that pop out, twin nemesis can switch between modes to provids upper attack, shadow oricalcum has extensions on the layer that still allow it to retain its circular shape though I doubt they would pop out in battle, guardian Kerbeus not sure, maximum garuda has no mode change, nightare longinus can shift the heads on he layer but don't specifically know what it does, ark Bahamut and deep chaos dont know about . I probably missed a few but these are ones I remember from the top of my head
God Valkyrie has a moving piece on its layer that is attached to a spring. When gV hiylts its opponent, the piece retracts and then the spring pushes it forward for a theoretical super attack. Kreis Satan has rollers on the layer to deflect attacks. Blaze Ragnoruk has these wings that are supposed to increase its stamina by folding out with the force of its spin. However, those wings are weightless and insignificant to its stamina. Drain Fafnir has rubber for spin stealing. Killer Deathscyther has a moving piece on its scythe contact point the when it strikes its opponent, it can strike again because of this moving piece. The piece, however, does not reach far enough to be considered useful. Alter Chronos has a mode change that shifts it weight from unbalanced attack mode, to balanced stamina mode. Maximum Garuda has helicopter like wings that are supposed to keep it upright with the upper force created from the wings to increase its stamina. Tornado Wyvern has a free spinning piece on its layer that increases its defense by deflecting the blows. Legend Spriggan can spin both left and right. Seig Xcalibur has a heavy metal sword. Deep Chaos has a springy piece on its layer that bounces opponents back. Twin Nemesis has two attack modes, upper attack and smash attack. Blast Jinnius has a piece that moves upwards when hit. Guardian Kerbeus has a middle layer made of the sane material as the Jerk disc that absorbs attacks. Shelter Regulus has hidden attack points that pop out at high spin, and retracts them when low on stamina to increase its defense. However, its teeth are horrible and bursts like a balloon. Nightmare Longinus has moving dragon heads that increases its attack when at a certain click. Its also is that first Burst Bey that doesn't use a disc. That is all on the gimmicks of the Beys so far.
gZ: the four metal balls will be pulled to the edge of the layer for high OWD then move toward the center of the layer to increase spin speed
gV: bound layer. The layer has a spring loaded ring that will go back and then release a strong attack.
bR: stamina wings. The wings will extend to increase stamina (doesn't do much too small and light)
kD: double strike. The blade on top of the scythe will move after the first hit for a second hit. (Same thing as bR. Looks cool though)
gK: soft plastic ring with in the layer will absorb hits.
dF: spin steal
bJ: the layer raises
aC: can be balanced or unbalanced
lS: dual spin
sR: the layer will retract late in the battle
sO (omega): highest burst resistance early in battle
dC: layer will bounce attacks off it
mG: circle, widest layer
sX: metal sword
aB: as it clicks it gets more defensive
nL: built In disk, as it clicks it gets more aggressive.
tW: free spining sub layer
I think I got them all, tell me if I haven't.

You missed out Kreis Satan.
Ark Bahamut - When near bursting, its shape changes so it can resist bursts better.
Alter Chronos - Can change between unbalanced (Attack) and balanced (Stamina).
Blast Jinnius - When spinning strongly, layer slides upwards, and when weaker, it snaps down to trap opponents.
Blaze Ragnaruk - Wings slide out to increase OWD.
Deep Chaos - When hit, the layer slides down and then springs up.
Drain Fafnir - Rubber and left-spin allows it to steal spin.
Guardian Kerbeus - Softer, slightly flexible plastic on outside defends better.
God Valkyrie - Spring loaded layer gives "Bound Attack".
Galaxy Zeus - Metal balls slide out when spinning.
Killer Deathscyther - Blade slides back for a double strike.
Kreis Satan - Rollers roll attacks away.
Legend Spriggan - Spins left and right.
Maximum Garuda - Widest part ever.
Shelter Regulus - Tiger heads slide out when spinning strong and slide in later.
Sieg Xcalibur - A metal sword gives more attack power.
Twin Nemesis - Can switch from smash attack to upper attack modes.
Tornado Wyvern - Free spinning layer parries attacks.
Alter Chronos - Can change between unbalanced (Attack) and balanced (Stamina).

Excellent explaination! Thank you!

Blast jenius's layer will go up when struck rendering the first few attacks against it to deal no damage(clicks)
Also missing orichalcum..
Also for shelter, basically the lion bares the claws at the beginning of battle to increase damage potential, late game it retracts those, moving the mass back towards the middle of the bey conserving spin( watch ice skaters to get an idea)
