[Answered]  BBX Hasbro Only Part Legality

So, with Hasbro releases being completely scuffed, we're already seeing some stores get Wave 3. As we know Wave 3 isn't expected until January, even the boxes have 2025 copyright/trademarks on them.

Are we considering Rod/Buster legal? What about the other Wave 3 releases that haven't been spotted on shelves? What about Wave 2 which has only been spotted in NA and not in EU or AUS?

As someone who judges tournaments from time to time, having a set date (like intended release date) of parts becoming legal would be much more conducive to a smooth running event. Right now if someone were to pull up with Rod I have no idea if I'd have to turn them away or not.
Unless they're easily accessible at most retailers or Amazon I consider them still prohibited for 'Hasbro Only' play. Fortunately, it's much easier to draw a line in the UK than in NA.
Kind of late, but we'll let the Organizers assess what's best for their tournament.

As we saw with the release of Buster Dran 1-60A for example, the intended release date was January 2025, but it was released in parts of the US in October 2024 as a result of retailers breaking street date. Gamestops in Vancouver and Toronto put these on shelves on January 6, 2025, but some cities up north don't have anything.

Organizer flexibility is probably best in this scenario.

With that being said, Ranked Hasbro X has been a bit rare. Since Takara Tomy releases are also legal, Hasbro drops can either create more accessibility or have no effect, depending on the distribution in a local area.
