Hello there WBO members,
It feels incredibly surreal to be back again after a very lengthy hiatus, so I felt now would be a great opportunity to reintroduce myself.
Hi! I’m James, aka Akatsuki (name chosen appropriately from Sora during the Metal Saga).
I’ve now returned back to the Beyblade scene again thanks to Beyblade X reigniting my love for the game and franchise overall.
Since I was last here, a lot has changed for me in the 10+ years of me going quiet on here. I decided in 2018 I wanted a new career, and started in the veterinary industry as a Veterinary Care Assistant, prior to starting my Student Veterinary Nurse journey at college, and completing my apprenticeship.
I am now close to reaching my career goal of being a Registered Veterinary Nurse, provided I pass my final practical exams this Sunday! After that, it is my goal to pioneer a new standard of veterinary nursing for exotic species and zoo nursing.
While originally from London, I now call Oxfordshire home with my fantastic partner Nick of over 9 years, my two cats, Rascal and Indy-Eevee, and our bearded dragon Spyro.
During my trip to Japan this year, May 2024, I was lucky enough to start building a new collection of X beys, and I can’t wait to expand with all the new releases.
Aside from Beyblade, I am building a Warhammer 40K army (Blood Angels), TCG’s (Yu-Gi-Oh! and dipping my toes into Lorcana), learning to sew/construct cosplays and I’m volunteering on my local heritage railway with the long term goal of steam locomotive crew.
I very much look forward to meeting bladers old and new, pleasure to meet you all.
