Hi everyone! We finally have an indoor venue for December's tournament The Holiday Hammer!

Please note that the location for this month's tournament is in Washington, DC - not Silver Spring. I am still looking for a more permanent venue for the winter months, but until then I have rented a conference room in a nice hotel.

The Marriott Wardman Park Hotel is located about 100 yards west of Connecticut Avenue on Woodley Road. Parking in the surrounding neighborhoods can sometimes be challenging due to the close proximity of the National Zoo, so please plan to either arrive early to find free parking, arrive whenever and pay for parking, or take the DC Metro Red Line to the Woodley Park / National Zoo station and a very short walk to the hotel.

Date: Saturday, December 10, 2011

Location: The Marriott Wardman Park Hotel: 2660 Woodley Road NW · Washington, DC 20008 (We will be in the McKinley Room) https://www.marriott.com/hotels/maps/tra...dman-park/
Registration: 11:00am - Noon
Start time: 12:30-ish
Format: TBD based on size
Surface: Carpet!
Fees: $5 Room Fee + Standard WBO fees: $5 entry fee or $10 for a Blader Passport that gives you free tournaments for a year

Please post to this thread if you plan to make it!

how many beyblades do you need to bring?

Only 1 is required Smile but you may want to bring a couple different types so that you can adjust strategy between matches. Different people bring different numbers, some bring 3-4 and some bring everything they have.

Regardless of what you bring, come on out and have a great time!

No. This is a hotel meeting room that I am responsible for, so no paints, solvents, polishes or other chemicals that could spill should be brought to the tournament.

Thanks!
Also there many little kids running around the meeting room so we don't want any kids running off with chemicals stuff that could make someone ill or life threatening condition even the smell of the chemical
I might come with 3 friends. They are not on the WBO... yet. My chances ar 50-50.

Congratulations everyone! The Holiday Hammer! was the MD community's first fore into the wilds of Washington DC, but we had 18 bladers who skipped the shopping malls to come out and compete in our Nation's Capitol!

Here are the official results...

1st place: Galaxy4Stars
2nd place: Arupaeo
3rd place: Ryugablader
4th place: Bigbang4ever

Thank you everyone for coming out with strong bey spirit and great sportsmanship! And thank you to our judges, Galaxy4Stars, J o n, and Technologic!

Next month will probably be a different venue, as the hotel was nice, but very expensive. Keep your eyes out for community centers by your schools or homes that we might be able to use for free, OK? Smile

Also, in addition to the regular monthly MFB tournament we are going to try and put together another HMS tournament as well. Information on both should probably be up on the WBO within the next week.
Back to back xD finally time for a change
