Nightmares. - DrPepsidew - Jun. 22, 2013
I searched for several items synonymous with dreams and only the "Strange Dreams You've Had" thread popped up. I'm starting this thread because most of the dreams discussed there aren't really all that intense, just kinda casual sharing. Me included, I'm not all that comfortable ruining such an environment lol. Feel free to discuss them here, if they creep you out, make you severely uncomfortable, or just down-right scare you and you wanna vent to people with the same problem.
I'll give a little background on myself:
Not to toot my own horn, but several people regard me as the bravest person they know, as I'm not really intimidated by much and usually take things as a challenge. Top three fears though: Being completely alone, absolute darkness (to the point where eyes are pretty much useless, other than that it's fine), and my imagination; there's too much extra info for that one though, hah. But when I tell people that I have terrible nightmares and rarely sleep much, they just give me a really odd look, some people notice it if I point out that I don't really sleep; as I have bags under my eyes, and it's not an iron deficiency hah. As of right this moment in time, I haven't slept in about 2 1/2 days believe it or not. I've come to terms with nightmares, I've had them terribly since I was about 8, for various reasons. But the one I've been having has been for about a month and a half and has been the absolute worst I've ever had.
Before reading this vvv, read that ^^^
Here's the dream
But I strongly advise that if you get scared easily, do not read please:
If anyone has seen the movie "Sinister," they'd know that it isn't specifically scary; just insanely creepy. The plot revolves around an author who moves into a house with his family to create a new story around a very strange suspected homocide/suicide (Not giving details because it's kinda gruesome, I don't think I should post that. But he goes to the attic and finds a box of tapes labeled "Home Videos." They all start like any normal home video would, then take a very terrible turn (again, no details from me). There are kids in the videos and they are the culprits of what happen, I think there are 5 or 6 total.
Bottom line, I have a very close group of friends I talk to and spend time with, and in the dreams I have, they represent the kids whereas I represent the main character. The videos feature them doing various activities, all terrible like in the screenplay itself and they haunt me. From this movie, I've become extremely wary of mirrors, and old films. It keeps me from sleeping and it's making me really PO'd. If you're one of the strong at heart, go watch the movie and you can understand all of this.
So yeah, post if you'd like, no judging here, and if there is, shame on whomever is doing it.
We're all afraid of something guys, we just need to be there for eachother.
GO BLADERS!

I had this horrible dream
One time I had this dream I was eating spaghetti. Then the spaghetti got up, took the waiter wrapped around him and stole his body. I freaked out and took my plate and broke it across his head. It got mad and rapped its noodles around me. I remembered Rapid Eye Movement and controlled my dream and turned to a demon and ate the spaghetti guy. But when I ate him I exploded and my guts flew everywhere. SPLAT. When I woke up I felt my stomach to see if my guts were there.

REM sleep is actually flood for you, you're probably thinking of lucid dreaming. Ive been trying to do it for years. Good to know I'm not the only one up all the time haha.
RE: Nightmares. - кαмυι カムイ - Jul. 27, 2013
Oh Lucid Dreaming. Finally Thank God I know someone else who does that. Just don't do it to much It will probably prevent you from sleeping or make you start seeing things.

I had a nightmare where I was walking my dog but my dog started pulling me to a closed bookstore. It was creepy, then some random Asian guy in his mid-50s with glasses teleported in front of me and grabbed my arm really hard. Then the dream ended. Then I fell asleep again and the same thing happened, then I fell asleep again and dreamt about thinking about that guy and suddenly he appeared, and grabbed my arm but I pushed him away and he turned into black mist, there was another part but you have to PM me to find out.
RE: Nightmares. - Sama - Jul. 27, 2013
My nightmare:
Ryuuga died in front of me.
the end
I'm kidding.
I was strolling around, walking in a park, when the sky instantly turned red. I thought it wierd, because it was morning and it doesn't do it that fast. So, I was scared, so I went into a building nearby. What I saw outside was horrible. I saw flames coming down on the ground, making huge dents on the ground. I don't know how it happened, but there was one giant purple flame coming directly in front of me, it hit, and it was over. Don't ask how it happened.

I'm sorry to hear that guys. You all can always PM me and talk about them if you'd like, I'll be up nine times out of ten haha

When I was younger, like seven, eight years old or so, I watched a lot of horror movies, no clue why since I'm not really even a big fan. And I had a nightmare once about a bunch of the serial killers teaming up to find me. The killers made an alliance which included Scream, Chucky, Freddy Krueger, Pennywise, and a few others. It's pretty stupid now that I think about it, but I was a lot younger.
RE: Nightmares. - DrPepsidew - Jul. 28, 2013
Pennywise would definitely be the most creepy. Why not just fight them with PEGASUS?!2!!111?!?1
RE: Nightmares. - кαмυι カムイ - Jul. 28, 2013
Freddy Kreuger would try to slice Pegasus into pieces, although Pegasus would smash Chucky into broken plastic lol.

I just woke up from a nightmare!
It was weird and scary?!
Ok so I was with some people in a store/museum (It was blurry so I couldn't tell?)
As i was exiting the store/museum someone throws this thing at the glass door, it cracks it, everyone got scared for a moment... Then people I didn't even know start blaming me for that thing thrown at the door! So I try to hide in a corner, there was a guy on fire there!? I go up to him and poke him(not sure why), he runs off as if he's not on fire! I decide to go up to the door... I open it and that same guy pushed me outside! something flew into my face, it went around my neck and was choking me!
I wake up and suddenly feel like killer from You're NeXt is after me! I started looking everywhere in my room under my bed. I was horrified! And then I calm myself down by playing Nyan Cat:Lost in Space on my iPod......... And then I get on here to write about the nightmare I had. LolXD

My Dream I had last night:
So me and my friend were walking down the street at night. I had a book in my hand about werewolves and vampires. So went to the Stonehenge which I don't know why, and all of a sudden my friend starts turning into half vampire and I turned into a full werewolf. I couldn't control it so I went on a rampage. A real wolf came out and starts fighting my friend! He said go to that stone It will stop you from turning into a werewolf. I ran as fast as I could. I was almost at the stone but my friend bit my leg. I touched the stone and then I woke up. I checked my body for hair to see If I changed back but I forgot it was a dream.
RE: Nightmares. - DrPepsidew - Jul. 28, 2013
I had said earlier that I try for lucid dreaming quite often but it really hasn't been working out for me to where I can control it yet. I've gotten to the point of which the dream feels real but I still cant control it. A very bad situation for someone who has really only bad dreams and nightmares...
I was walking on the beach (one of my favorote places) and thought I'd have a good dream. Nope XD
As I was walking on the wet sand my eyes started itching terribly. I stopped and started rubbing my eyes vigorously, while doing so, my hands started getting damp and the ground beneath me became individualized but I couldn't identify what I was standing on. I opened my eyes and looked at my hands first. I had those spots from when you rub or stare at a light for too long and waited for my sight to clear up. Looking at my hands it took me a few seconds to realize that my hands were red, and I was standing on broken and fractured bones. Blood from my feet were now feeding into the now red ocean. I was getting smaller, whispers rthat were faint and nonchalant became unbearably loud, all of them saying, "Come down to us!" in unison. The bones formed into a singular figure, towering over my tiny body. The giant laughed, raised his foot and quickly brought it down on me sending me blazingly fast downward and I hit very hot rocks.
Then I woke up

You have some weird dreams drpepsidew.
RE: Nightmares. - DrPepsidew - Jul. 28, 2013
Yep XD I don't choose em though so I can't complain
RE: Nightmares. - Ocean - Jul. 28, 2013
My Guy that grabbed my arm dream was a little weird don't you think?
This is a kinda funny nightmare from when I was 5.
it was a dream where I was invisible and I was in a metal bunker with a bolted up door, I was worrying if someone could break in when a nine year old boy ran in with a gun, he shot a little girl and she turned into a tiny yellow puppy, then he shot a man and the same thing happened.

I had this dream once...
It was a really long time ago, so I can't remember the whole thing, but I was walking around everywhere, and I kept seeing this guy. Anyway, this guy was very, very pale-skinned and wore a cloak. Every time someone walked up to him, they asked him what day it was tomorrow. He always answered, "The day of no return!"
So that totally creeped me out, but what was even worse was that the next morning (yes, I actually slept during a dream ) I heard on the news that the people who had talked to him had been mysteriously murdered in the night. Then I saw him again, and I asked him what day it was tomorrow, and he told me "The day of no return!"
I think that scared me awake.
The scary thing is... I saw that guy again last night in a dream! I saw one guy ask him what day it was tommorow, and then he looked right at me. I turned around and bolted as fast as I could, and he just stood there, staring at me.
@Dr.PepsiDew: I have lucid dreams all the time! Once, I made my brother give me a giant bag of gumdrops and some french fries! It was pretty cool... I started having them right after I watched that old episode of the Smurfs with the Dream Demon guy, and Papa smurf said that you could control dreams. Of course, I was a little kid, so I believed him.
RE: Nightmares. - The Supreme One - Jul. 28, 2013
I used to lucid dream all the time when I was younger, but I'm kind of scared to try it now. The whole being conscious but unable to move thing kind of scares me Anyway, I have nightmares a lot but they honestly don't scare me as much as other things do. Had a pretty horrific dream last night, which I would be better off not posting lol
RE: Nightmares. - 6 God - Jul. 28, 2013
I lucid dream all the time, usually at like 4 in the morning. I hate when it happens, because I dream of zombie apocalypses and it makes me paranoid.
RE: Nightmares. - DiamondStar - Jul. 29, 2013
REM Sleep also know as Lucid Dreaming is extremely rare.
I would find it fascinating if someone could have a nightmare while being in control.
It's called a nightmare for a reason, if you could control a nightmare it takes out the scariness you receive when in the dream.

Dark thread Pepsidew PHD, dark thread...
I've had so many, it's messed up. I'll share this one, as I find it interesting.
Well, it starts out where I am in my bed, and falling asleep. Though when I fall asleep (in my dream), I start to dream. It's a dream within a dream! Well I "appear" under this old horse pulled cart, without the horse. It's just sitting on the ground. Well I look around, and I'm in this town perched on a cliff, and there's a huge cliff on the other side of a canyon that has a castle on top of it. Well there are people running everywhere, and then some soldiers walked by. Well then I "woke up" and tried to yell, but I was apparently paralysed, and I was drifting back into the dream (within the dream). I tried to resist, but ultimately failed. So I was back under the wagon, where a dog also sat. It had a backpack on its back, and was eating a coconut. Then the soldiers flipped the cart up, the dog ran away, and they carried me to the edge of the cliff, and chucked me off. Then I actually woke up.

It seems your dreams were trolling you.
I would hate for that to happen to me.

Yah, they tend to do that. A lot.

Well, considering your minds using some sort of 'reverse' thing..
That's some complex stuff dude.
RE: Nightmares. - Tri - Jul. 29, 2013
Trolling dreams, I have a story of something like that...
So I was in some kind of castle or big stone house. I saw a shadow to the left where a bunch if torture equipment laid. I tried sneaking away down a hall then a light shine brightly in my face, I looked up and saw the shadow from that other side except I saw the detail of this mans face. He looked a lt like Dracula and wore clothes similar to his except all his teeth were pointy and dripping with blood. I then yelled at myself screaming "Wake up"! Then the figure said "don't waste your breathe, there is no escape from here". I then asked what "here" was. He looked me straight in the face and in dark demonic voice said "hell".
Then I woke up, it was freaking scary.
