The sun went down behind the hills in the distance and the light went with it. A gust of wind whipped through the air. As I carried my bey, MF-H Gravity Perseus TH170CS, across the desert, I felt a shiver down my spine. I saw the shadow of a bey rapidly gliding across the sand. I launched Gravity Perseus straight at the Bey. It was Hell Pegasis AD145RF. As they collided, the sand shook slightly. I felt a drop of sweat running down my forehead. Perseus was starting to wobble. Pegasis may have been an attack type but its stamina was great. The Beys rapidly hit each other, sparks flying with every attack. I knew it would be over soon.

"Go Perseus, one last attack!" I shouted. Perseus was at full speed by the time it collided with Pegasis. Pegasis flew up into the air. I knew it was over. Once Pegasis landed, I realized it was still spinning. I heard a short whispering in my ear but I couldn't make out what the voice was saying. I had a sudden urge to say:
"Go Perseus, Cross Black Excalibur." The sand started to rise and Pegasis started to sink into it. The sand suddenly dropped and Pegasis had stopped spinning. I had won against a strange figure coming my way.

The figure was clapping as if he had witnessed a toddler winning his first BeyBattle.
"I congratulate you on your victory. You are better than I expected." The shadowed figure came into the light of my campfire. He was tall, skinny with long blonde hair. His eyes were a deep blue. He wore reading glasses and a small bandana around his neck. He spoke with a posh accent. His clothes were all clean and tidy. His T-Shirt was blue with a red flame down the sides. His trousers were baggy and loose. They were red with with one orange stripe on each side. His shoes were black and they were polished. I was confused because I was standing in the middle of nowhere, I was filthy with only a little bit of food and drink, yet he was clean and looked fine.
"What do you want" I said.
"Nothing. But I want to give you something." he said sarcastically.
"Continue."
"I am allowing you to come with me and be part of a… team. We have the best facilities and would happily upgrade your Bey. What d'a say?"
"I blade on my own. Not with a team!" I shouted with anger.
"I gave you a chance. You'll regret this…'' I couldn't here the rest of his sentence because a large helicopter flew over my head and landed right in front of me. The helicopter flew off leaving me alone once again.

"Let it Rip" shouted the crowd. Another battle had commenced. The battle went on quite a while as they were both stamina types. After a while, one of them finally fell.
The day was full of battles but I watched each one with amazement of how every Bey was different. The colors and designs were all different. I hadn't seen any other Beys except for the man I encountered in the desert.
"Next up, Higuchi vs Kaede for the first round." I was ready. I was up against a girl who had many titles at the time. She was tall with blonde hair, blue eyes and very pale skin. She wore a tight T-Shirt that had said Kaede in blue writing. She wore blue shorts with a spinning Bey on each leg.
"Please take your position!" shouted the commentator. I got in my position. I felt a drop of sweat running down my forehead.
"Higuchi, are you ready?"
"Let's do this." I said in soft and nervous voice but I tried my best to hide the fact my knees were shaking.
"Kaede, are you ready?"
"Ready!" She had a low voice and she sounded as if she could take on any blader.
"3, 2, 1, Let it Rip!" The crowd, Kaede and I all shouted. Kaede's Bey was Earth Leone 105SD. It had a purple Energy Ring, an orange Spin Track and a blue Performance Tip.
"Go Leone! Attack!" she shouted with determination in her voice. Earth Leone was a massive attacker and defender. Both Beys collided over and over again. Neither of their attacks done any damage to the other Bey. I decided I would finish it once and for all.
"Go Perseus, Cross Black Excalibur!" I shouted. Perseus shook the ground and cracked the stadium in two. Kaede's Bey Leone had fallen through the massive crack through the stadium.
"Congratulations, Higuchi! You advance on to the second round. As for Kaede, you have been defeated so… you're out!" shouted the commentator.
"Well done, Higuchi." said Jet. Jet was my friend. Well more my best friend as I had no other friends. Jet had black hair. His eyes were, strangely, a shade of red. I had never seen anyone with red eyes before. He wore a white T-Shirt with the letter B in black writing. He then wore a black sweatshirt with a red pocket trim. Under the sweatshirt he wore a red hooey with a red zipper. He wore dark blue jeans with a black belt with a red eagle buckle. His shoes were very plain. They were black boots with a red sole.
"I hope I see you in the final." I said.
"Next up, Jet vs em.. sorry about this. This blader has an Unknown name!"shouted the commentator.

Jet was standing at his side of the stadium. He looked nervous as his knees were shaking and his hands were sweating which gave him a loose grip on the launcher. As for the other guy, he wore a black hooded cloak with two large pockets in the side. He reached inside on of the pockets and he took out his Bey and launcher. From what I could see at the time, it looked as if it was Evil Shadow S100G, but as minutes past I came to believe that it was an unknown wheel. It looked as though it was handmade. He had blue eyes that sparkled in the sun. From what I could I see, I could make out part of his hair under the hood and it appeared to be blonde.
"Are you ready for the last battle of the first round? Well, lets do this!" shouted the commentator at the top of his voice.
"3, 2 , 1! Let it Rip!" Everybody shouted at the countdown, all excited to see the victor of this exciting match. Jet decided to use his special move straight away.
"Go Eagle! Midnight Flier!" shouted Jet.
"Defend, Shadow!" said the unknown opponent. Eagle flipped off the wall and went up into the air. Eagle was soaring the through skies and then it suddenly turned down the way and was falling through the sky but just before it reached the other Bey, it turned over and was now falling down tip-first. When it hit the other Bey it made a loud screeching sound. There was smoke everywhere now. Everyone expected it to be all over. But once the smoke cleared, it was clear that both Beys were spinning.
"Nice move. You can call me Shadow. Shadow of the west. Nice to meet you." said Shadow. Shadow's voice sounded American. He sounded posh and fancy.
"I am part of the the Darkness bladers. Anybody who gets in our way gets destroyed. I'm just going to finish this off now. Special Move! Pain!" His bey started to release fluids from the fusion wheel. After 10 seconds, most of the stadium was covered. Eagle was was circling the top. Jet's tactic was very effective because while Eagle was spinning around the top really fast it stopped the liquid from moving up further. But Eagle was slowing down and the fluid was moving up once again. The fluid was all over Eagle's tip. The tip was slowly getting smaller and was starting to disintegrate. The Bey was slowly getting swallowed up. After about two minutes, all that was left of Eagle was the Facebolt and small remains of the Fusion Wheel.
"No, Eagle!" shouted Jet with anger and sadness in his voice.
