The only thing right about fictional portrayals of student council is that we have fun. That we are a family and that we do lots of funny things with each other, like goofing around while we should be working. Whenever I explain things that happen from there, people usually react with “You live in an anime.” No, its just having a fun life. Life is pretty exciting when you join new clubs and groups at school
I used to think nothing in life was fun and worth sharing a story from, until I joined student council. Now I talk about my day from there like its an anime summary

My school doesn’t have a chess club and I’m disappointed.
They do have a club to learn about gene research and stuff so that’s cool. It’s still kinda mind-boggling to think my school has a pickle-ball club but not a chess club.

Yes, of course, quitting is an option. But to be honest, most people are there to keep their egos preserved — they like being the council president and looking like a cool kid in front of the school. So right now we have a small number of returners and 75% of student council are newbies who dont know what to do
Get outta there as fast as humanly possible and bring everyone else out of there. Or play politics and form a coalition of all the students who are in council and threaten to quit if things don’t change.

My school went on lockdown yesterday due to criminal activity in the area. I don’t know how this happened, but some kids went outside and got in a good amount of trouble. It was pretty scary, tbh.

So last week, a few of my friends and I decided to jokingly audition for the school’s talent show. It supposed to be very selective, and only the best make it in. We sang I Want It That Way, we did horribly, and we made it in.
We got the schedule for both the rehearsals and the show schedule today. We are the very last act out of 12 people. The director also wants us to choreograph something so we look cooler, so tons of room for stupidity.
Hopefully we win an award or two, if not, at least we’ll forever be known as the knockoff Backstreet Boys.

Alright so the school pulled a stupid and the show is postponed until May. I can complain a lot about this, but I’ll save that for elsewhere.
