Most people confuse love with infatuation especially when they are young*EDIT lol. They love the way somebody makes them feel and want to spend every dieing breath with them.
Love has nothing to do with being happy that they make you feel good. Love is about you wanting to make the other person happy even if its doing something you wouldn't dream of doing if it wasn't for that person.
Love isn't about how you feel, its about wanting to make them feel loved.

Personally, I think the sure sign that a relationship isn't going to work out or is built on lust is when (insert couple) makes things so public on social networking sites that practically every exchange they have is shoved in your face via Facebook timeline or Instagram. When couples start flaunting every picture they take together and every thing one does for the other, that's when you know they can't be saved lol. There has to be some sense of intimacy, or it's all for show.
...but back to the topic of younger people not knowing the difference between like, love and in love, I would entirely agree. Actual love is a feeling that doesn't come around often. When you start to feel that way, it's pretty hard to break up in the first place because your first instinct is to find a way to stay together. Which circles back to my idea that the majority of middle and high school relationships are for show.

Call me a horrid excuse for a human being, but there are these two people at my high school who hold hands everywhere they go. They never let go. It pisses me off. No idea why, but it does. Not just me either, everyone is annoyed by it. It ain't jealousy on my half of the street, so I'm not sure what it is, probably the shove-it-in-your-face aspect.
I just shifted this conversation from deep to dumb XD
But that's what I do. I turn the tables, I change the tide.

I agree with "the more it seems to be advertised everywhere, the quicker it ends" because it is very common! I feel like the more they post about it on social networks (where everyone can see), the more superficial it gets because the posts are made to be more "show-off-ish" than genuine so yeah.

Many couples stay together because they get comfortable and it makes ot hard to break up. I'm trying for a major in any branch of psychology so I actually performed an experiment using a couple I'd created by playing matchmaker. I got extra credit in my AP Psych class XD

Now that the tide is current-ly changed, I'll drench you with my side of the pool. I'm a stereotypical Cancer(for those that don't know, basically everything I do is emotion based), and have never had a first anything worth talking about. While there are many beautiful women that I could probably have "the time of my life" with, I want to actually have a real relationship. Alas it seems only my calignous quadrant(http://mspaintadventures.wikia.com/wiki/Quadrants) can be filled. I'm actually a nice guy too, not that any one could back me up or I could prove it. Then again, it would help if I try to crack my own shell and not limit myself to people who have no record of matesprits as well.
