Welp, this is a video of stock Mirage versus stock Hyperion. The channel has more stock vs Fafnir battles.

I'll say, this combo is heavily held back by the Nothing driver. It seems like any time there's a hard launch it goes out of control like Absorb (aka Nothing Break) probably due to Mirage's insane weight of 63 grams. It seems like 2S has decent teeth, because I don't think it has bursted in one of their videos yet. Further testing is still required.

I am very often impressed by japanese youtubers' ability to launch stock hyperion to such aggressive and sustained flower pattern, almost looks like xtreme and quick. I am unable to do so when try it at home.
https://youtu.be/E2VE_cQrKjw A proper showcase at how it will match up against left attackers

Not to get off-topic to much but I’ve noticed that too. That’s why I think it’s funny when people say Xceed isn’t that good because it doesn’t flower consistently. Seems more like a blader problem than a driver problem. I’ve seen plenty examples of it flowering perfectly and consistently. I’ve got semi-decent with it myself.

Back on topic, Coffee has a whole list of great Fafnir videos including some with Fafnir using Br, X’ and other combos

Wouldn’t eternal be a good driver to use?

It's outclassed.

I think it's alright.

Outclassed by Atomic for same spin, and for opposite spin by Xtend+ and Bearing.

I think that theoretically, the best choice for this layer would be xt+. The reason for this is because the Superking system no longer has the central weight distribution of gt and rather has an all around/outer weight distribution almost like a better cho z system. Because of that they should be able to spin significantly longer on wider based driver's not to mention no longer having a balance problem as bad as cho z due to all around weight distribution.

I suggest using bearing will be good
Yeah and possibly absorb

Absorb isn't that good but it might have some niche use
Does anyone have Mirage yet?
Not entirely sure if anyone has noted this about the nothing driver on mirage but it appears to have a stronger spring then the old nothing driver that came on drain fafnir.

Mine is coming Wednesday, i hope the hype was worth it
Wonder how this will do on Ratchet

There’s a video by Coffee where he puts it on Rt.Rs. Does ok. Not worth taking 2S off for it.

I have the video here if anyone wants to check it out, Coffee has been pretty consistent with Mirage Fafnir content and it's been great watching all the testings/battles they've been doing.

That first battle is just reminding me why the WBO doesn't allow you to not launch your bey lol

Yeah definitely not worth removing 2s for. It most likely needs the burst resistance of a double chasis.

new fafnir is pretty cool still don't like the fact it was paired up with nothing but eh lol

I think I'm close to perfecting my Void/Illusion driver for Mirage Fafnir when I get it done and tested would you want the file so you'd have a new driver to replace the nothing driver? (probably not the right thread to ask this but eh) and yes it's me Royal if you forgotten lol.

Nah Nothing is the best choice. Absorb is uncontrollble, and Rise is Wizared Fafnir's driver, we want nothing to do with Wizared Fafnir.

It's not really a consideration for Standard, but it's good in Classic where it's not pushed down under heavy weights and doesn't have to worry about Xtend+ at all, and Bearing is super limited due to being TT only.

*Wizard

Also, Absorb is more controllable than you think.

I've also heard that the Nothing in this thing has a stronger spring to handle the heavier weights. Is this true, and if so how impactful is this?
