I'm still a bit curious if they've done a spin absorb gimmick with the chassis (like Ratchet).  Doesn't look like it does anything given the image, but Wizard was a great spin-stealer based more on the entire combo of parts.  Curious if Mirage could be nearly as effective in that regard.

Perhaps using the better teeth of something like 1D or 1S with Ratchet and Rise, Mirage could be a more burst-resistant version of the GT bey?  I think Wizard was misunderstood.  Spun-slow or even hand-spun (almost every vid, people spin it fast and it auto-bursts) you beat virtually any right-spin opponent.  If the combo was burst resistant enough to fight same spin opponents at full power, it would have been OP.  So maybe it can be now Smile

That’s is against stock combo beys where it can get a slow motion burst or grip onto the layer better to decrease knockout and win by spin finish. In actual tournament play combinations are much harder to burst and won’t lose to a slow motion burst. Additionally in tournament trying to spin finish by slow spin won’t work because other right spin combos will be just as good at equalizing with better drivers than stock. This Fafnir seems to be a combination of previous Fafnir beys.
The Mirage ring shape is very similar to Cho-Z Valkyrie, with how small the blades look, if they can even be called that. I hope the chassis has good enough burst resistance to counter all that friction because MAN, does it have rubber, or does it have RUBBER?
Bruh I wonder if this could even be good Mirage sort of reminds me of Wizard which wasn't good.
Ok all of you need to stop arguing over how bad the gt beys are because we are talking about the new fafnir

Think about it. Mirage has a lot of rubber. Too much rubber means a lot of friction. Friction is what causes beyblades to burst. Yes, rubber helps with spin equalization and out spinning your opponent, but too much of it can cause the downfall of a ring. I think the double chassis might help here possibly as they increase Burst resistance quite well for a Beyblade, but we will have to see.
I hope fafnir doesn’t lose that quickly

I mean... Lord, Judgment, and Brave exist and we saw how well they do with their amount of rubber plus Wizards main problem was the fact that the slopes on the base were poorly made causing the teeth to be raised.

Good to learn from your tourney insight, thanks.  I've not done any organized competitive blading, but we do have a lot of beys, lol.  Even now, against right-spin sparking beys like BVl & CSt, Wizard still almost always ties or wins if spun slow.

Side note, I'd hate to be a judge with Wizard in play.  All of its wins that aren't bursts are photo-finish OS.

That also led to it needing the Gen Weight to survive, making it even worse for same-spin matches and allowing Attack Combos to knock it around too easily. Burst Resistance shouldn't be too much of a problem with Mirage, and neither should weight.

Mirage is a stamina ring however, and stamina types are made to be more or less not very burst resistant. Although like I said with a double chassis I expect it to perform well enough to not burst like Wizard did.
wasnt really expecting Mirage as a name, but it fits. kinda expected nothing since it is the original fafnir driver after all, I just wonder how it will perform with the bey.
I hope 2S has better teeth than the Fafnir GT chip. Mirage looks like it has about the same (possibly more) amount of rubber as Wizard, so it's probably going to require a chassis with strong teeth. Nothing is an... interesting choice to say the least. I understand why we didn't get Nothing' as stamina dash drivers (even ones like Nothing, Survive, Flugel or Cycle) would probably break the meta more thoroughly than my heart was broken when Philip died, but TT atleast could've given us Absorb or Rise.
Overall, Mirage looks to be an average release. Nothing groundbreaking, but nothing horrible (I hope).

At least we’re should have gotten Nothing dash

Stamina types were designed to have high stamina obviously but also be easy to burst. A stamina dash driver could never exist or else stamina types would be hard to burst.

I feel like this is just gonna be the Sparking version of Wizard…

Well... Wizard did have the best & most effective design. The only problem it had was it’s burst resistance, (which Mirage Fafnir Might Have mitigated with that double chassis.) But other than that, I don’t see what could’ve added with mirage, so it being a Sparking version of Wizard isn’t so bad, seeing that wizard was the best design

Nothing' wouldn't be busted, though. It's pretty bad at everything it's meant to do. Bad LAD, bad Stamina, and Nothing Break isn't beneficial if it even happens.

Not at all, of course, but like I said, they’re supposed to be easy to burst, so even if a stamina driver would be bad even if it was a dash variant, it would still not ever exist.

Nothing Break doesn't even exist in real life. It was made up in the anime.

It could happen, you would just probably have to mod your driver to do it. It could be that Mirage Fafnir is heavy enough it push the spring down, but i doubt that. It's not like Absorb that would easily compress and go out of control with Absorb Break.

That's why I said "if it ever happens" because you can get the effect by launching hard, but it's rarely ever beneficial.
