That means we have to select our modes before battle. =3=
(If it COULD change modes in battle, that will be GREAT.(?)

Well, better stop this discussion now. This is going quite off-topic.
Dude, as Ga said, every 4D bottom doesn't need to have a mode changing gimmick... You already know that the 2 mode change 4D bottoms- F: D and F: S were more than just BAD. So, this thing might be better. Now, I'd like this discussion to stop.... Stupid
It can't, due to the design. I'm not sure a 3 mode tip would be possible, a version that changes during battle that is (3 tips are obviously possible XD).
im not so sure. Dranzer F was able to do it. And by that I mean you would set Dranzer F to a certain tip and then the tip would never stay, making it an epic fail all the damn time. Tired You needed serious skills to use Dranzer F in such a controled manner where the tip wouldnt rotate upon making contact with the stadium, ,and even then you would still have to hope that you wouldn't get hit hard enough where the tip would change mid battle

But I have faith in TT (some what anyway) I am sure thier engineers and innovators could easily think of a 3 mode tip that would change mid battle. Of course, it could epicly fail, and they would probobly only see it as another gimmick to make them more money, especialy if it didn't work...well hopefuly they will get it right if it happens
Sorry if I'm a big late, but is it confirmed? (Manual Change)

Even if it wasn't, I like Ga's idea if it. But if Dranzef F could do it, MFB can surely replicate it. Hopefully if a Auto-Changing process is placed, there will be some locking system.
To be honest, only my Hasbro Dranzer F has ever had any tip-related problems, with it becoming loose. My Takara Dranzer F is still solid as a rock. I would also be surprised if Takara Tomy didn't improve on the mechanism somehow, given the extra weight that will be involved in MFB.

I was going to post about this, but I was unsure it if was true since it's been a very long time since I've owned either a Hasbro or Takara one. I do remember the Hasbro one was unusable.
I sincerely hope that D:D does not leave a slight gap like F:S did (on the side view), i find it absolutely annoying to see that gap.

Ok just stop about the gimmick.
I'm just wondering what will happen if it could, just WONDERING.

Wouldn't say it is impossible. But, I will say, this tip isn't going to be the one. Looks like it is just Dranzer F 2.0.
Honestly, the tip would be highly impractical if it changed automatically. I doubt TT would implement it this way (I see little room for a mechanism there), anyway.

I doubt it's automated, guys.

Still a silly gimmick to revive, but oh well, it advertises nicely :p
If this one has a locking mechanism, I wouldn't say it is silly at all.
-deleted- SORRY
: fair call, I was probably wrong to call it silly, maybe I should have said "but they've made a poor choice of tips to use. I'd much prefer RF/MF, CS, and SD (thinnest useful stamina tip, for space concerns).
Even then, it's kind of awkward because it's at a fixed height. If it were a three-function regular bottom, it'd be fine, but the fixed height and poor selection of tips is really a deal breaker.
Maybe they hae plans for such tips in future beys...like an advance version of D: D which has all rubber... maybe RD: D ... who knows it may have RF,CS and RS/F...to make it a very good tip
Still gonna be height limited, and lack the ability to use the weight or smash produced by a track. It'd still be a tradeoff.
Seriously, the next person to post about how D:D is like Dranzer F's tip and that they hope that D:D's locking mechanism will be better will be warned.

I would say that this image you posted shows that it has three tips on an axis. Really wanting to see this blade in my hands. Vari Ares looks interesting. Want to see how the red and yellow parts actually work.
carp
Its gunna be automatically changing
you now the little spin tabs?
it has 2
1st mode F
2nd mode B
3rd mode S

just a guess by looking at the picture
Probably wouldn't post that as a "fact" as much as you have.
I can understand how you've reached that idea, however I don't see the "little spin tabs" (though I think I know the parts you mean) being any different position-wise in this image, and the order isn't always stable in all representations of the bey: in the ad for the blue version, for example, it's listed as S|F|WB, instead of F|WB|S. I doubt they made a special D: D for a limited recolour.

Also, it's WB, not B.

A note from me: DGrin doesn't look as bulky as previous 4D bottoms (F: D and F: S), combined with the fact the tips must take up room, I [b]strongly[/sb] suspect there is no room for any automated mechanism.

Also, after more thinking, if the "yellow plastic" is automated like this, it mightn't be that bad. It'd still have maximum smash when it can best use it, and then hopefully that recoil would be lowered later in the battle by the plastic, increasing spin-steal/equalising.
Well there are those two slits above the device
IdkTongue_out
So, what is the purpose of 'letting the yellow parts going out when spinning fast and goes back when it's spinning slowly'?
That would be the simpler set up, and if it's that way, tgere really isn't much point. However, given the direction of the arrows in the pictures, I believe it'll be the opposite way (they extend as you slow, reducing recoil to allow you to spin steal/os better)
My initial spelling was right : it is confirmed as "Vari Ares".
Of course you were right. Kai-V is never wrong.

Hmm. How did you confirm that though? Is there a box art out already?
