We now know that the tournament will definitely go ahead. We have one possible venue at the moment:

Location:
ExCeL
Royal Victoria Dock
London,
E16 1XL, UK

Your hosts:
Me (ChozenBlader)
TheGigsMeister

Judges:
Blitz
Gekiryu

The time of day and the specific date are still to be decided, but for any suggestions towards running the tourney, or if you want to apply to be a judge, say so here.

Tournament setup:
There will be a plastics division, MFB Division and HMS division. The winners will get prizes (but we do not know what the prizes will be as of yet). Also, there will be a free-play section as well, for those who want to test combos or simply blade for the sake of it.

The matches will run on the point system. [/b]

For the record, according to the rules, if you break your opponents blade, you win instantly (although I must stress, please don't try to do this on purpose)

There may be a small entrance fee to pay for the prize. The amount is undecided.
Feel free to suggest any ideas.

IMPORTANT: There will be a blacklist. If your name is added to it, you will not be allowed to attend the tourney. This is to prevent trouble makers from spoiling the event.

Also, please, if you can, bring a stadium with you. The more stadiums we have, the more battles we can have at one time. Please note: Only Takara stadiums are legal for competitive play.

You will be allowed to buy and sell beyblades at the tournament. Just make sure your prices aren't outrageous Wink

2 out of 3 seems best to me if we're not using takara's points system, because it determines who is better, leaves room for mistakes but doesn't make matches take forever. =]
Fair enough. I personally think that 3 out of 5 is better. In a best 2 out of 3, one mistake means that your match could be over because of a simple mislaunch etc.

A best 3 out of 5 would not take that long, and remember, there is always the chance of someone winning 3-0

As much as I'd like, I don't think i'd be able to handle the countless stares from her outfit (Underboobs much?)
I'm going as Neliel Tu (Her adult form before she gets pwned by Nnoitra)
and I'm trying to convince Dreamborn to go as Aizen.

I did not say it was a 3 out of 5, I'm saying I'd prefer it... it's up to all you guys attending.
3-5 seems to be the favoured opinion here, it also makes the most sense.
I can see my chances of me turning up to this ever increasing =D. If I do turn up then I'll bring my MFB, HMs and Plastics =D. Will see what stadiums I have as well for the event.
Yay! Grin

Do you have any Takara stadiums by the way?

Lol ya, I love Nel! When she's a kid, she's funny as hell; and when she's an adult, she hawt!
I have the Takara MFB Attack stadium, and will will be buying stamina soon hopefully.

Oh lord... xd
I may have three stadiums to bring to the tournament if I come. MFB Attack, Balance and Stamina.

Also, might I suggest having the Beyblade tournament outside the entrants by Ibis (the side, east or west, escapes me). Therefore we will get a big crowd from cosplayers and other people that may be interested when we turn up with MFB as well. Additonally, the tournament should be set for the Saturday as that is always the biggest outcome! As for the time, between 11 and 12 should be suitable.

You should also add a list of all possible attending people so as we (you) can work out the total number of participants. If the person decides the cannot turn up then they would post hear saying so and you remove them from the list.

Anyway, what sort of turn out are we looking at currently?

This is the ideal time period, but we should take into consideration that some people may not be able to make it for that time. The earlier the better though Wink
The expo ends at 6 on a Staurday. The latest time suitable would be 2pm maximum.
what the hell kind of convention closes at 6 on saturday?
London MCM Expo XD. It opens at 9, but this is just the difference between GBR and USA.
