[K]reative’s Beyblade X: X-Over format proposal.

This is a proof of concept proposal written by [K]reative. If any future X-Over projects are in fact an average weight, comparable to the main line Beyblade X blades, then I wrote this for nothing Unhappy

Fans of Beyblade X has raised many concerns as of late regarding the recent blades to come out of the X-Over Project[A project that takes beys from the past and converts them to the X System].

One of the concerns being that the current 2 layers to come out of the X-Over Project are lighter [28 grams] than your average X releases [35 grams]. This weight difference severely hinders the beys to come out of this project as they can’t compete with layers heavier than them. Making them pretty much unusable in the current Beyblade X meta.

Another concern that fans have with these blades is also the weight distribution. The current X-Over releases are severely nerfed by having an imbalanced weight distribution. This hinders the stamina of these blades, which allows any release with a better weight distribution [majority of Xto take advantage and dominate.

So now we have these cool beys from the past and Beyblade fans can’t use them comfortably in the current X meta. What do we do with them now? Let them collect dust as they most likely will never be used competitively?

HELL NAH. RUN THAT X-OVER FORMAT.

✨The Beyblade X: X-Over Format✨

Beyblade X format that only allows layers from the X-Over Project to be used. This allows any release that comes out of the project to be used comfortably as all the layers would be in the same weight range. Allowing these cool releases to shine. This would also give fans a chance to use their favorite childhood beys and dominate with them in the competitive scene. Who wouldn’t like to use nostalgia to win against fellow bladers?

[I am aware we only have 2 X-Over releases but again this is just a proof of concept. Thank you for reading my proposal. That is all for now]
Sounds cool, we will have to see about Storm Pegasus and Victory Valkyrie to see if they have similar weight ranges.
TBH the weight difference isn't that much of a problem. Driger and Dranzer still hold their own really well, even with being under 30g while blades like PW and WR are heavily used. Now if a weight creep happened and a whole bunch of blades became outclassed from weight alone, then something like this could work.

True but it’s very hard to use dranzer and driger comfortably, making them very high skill use blades in the current meta. A format like this would allow anyone who wants to run X-Overs the luxury of running them comfortably.
Update: We have Lightning L-Drago, Storm Pegasus, Dragoon Storm, Victory Valkyrie confirmed for the X-Over project. Since LLD is coming soon we should have the general weights for the layers in about a months time.

Update Update: I’m considering turning the X-Over proposal into more of a lightweight format proposal. Since that would give us more options for the format itself. Anything 32~ grams and under would be allowed.
How did i not see this sooner! This is great!
Update: lightning X-Over looking light Ngl.. 👀
