Eureka Seven

So I just watched all 50 episodes in like 3 days, and I was completely blown away, so I thought I'd make sure to announce it to everyone.

It starts out as a mecha style anime series with a 14 year old Boy, Renton Thurston, who lives in a stagnant town with his stubborn Grandfather. His passion is lifting (surfing in the sky), and his role model is that of Holland, a famous lifter and leader of a group called Gekkostate.

Everything's boring until this LFO (mecha that lifts) crashes into the house, completely demolishing it. It just so happens that this LFO is piloted by the mysterious Eureka, a member of Gekkostate. Renton falls in love with Eureka, beginning a quest for love.

It's an excellent story, which completely draws you in, with humour sprinkled in. It gets fairly serious in places and can be quite sad at times (It might even make Kai-V cry, if that's possible). It was rated as a 13, but I've seen loads of comments of people who are older and enjoyed it too. Plus the OST is great.

Some reviews put it down but I've seen more pro's then con's. There's a film which is an alternative version of the story, which I haven't seen yet, and a manga which is similar apart from the ending.
Defiantly worth a watch!

Hm, sounds like a very interesting show. I'd like to watch it sometime, but I can only use youtube, really. Is there a specific user that has all of the episodes?
I've heard lots about this show and although the mecha designs aren't particularly to my tastes, it's definitely on my list of things I want to watch.
Sounds awesome. I might check it out; I haven't seen a new anime in months.
I haven't watched the whole thing yet but I remember this anime I remember watching it an adult swim, It was a pretty good mecha anime, but I didn't see the point of turning into cars when the can airboard in the sky XD
It doesn't look that way, the first part of episode 1's on, if you want a taster.
