Cheap mans way to clean a weight disk - VERY CHEAP

Hey guys, Being oldschool bladers like yourselves (most likely) will find the original weight disks get dirty rather fast - so here is the cheap alternative to silver polish and all that expensive milarky.

PICTURES SOON Smile

STEP 1: Go down to your local chemist and buy a bottle of Surgical Spirit (about £1.50 for 200ml)

STEP 2: Get the big cotton wool buds (about 50p per pack if not lying around the house)

STEP 3: Put the wool over the bottle of spirit and soak the wool with surgical spirit

STEP 4: Use the wool on the weight disk getting all nooks and crannies. MAKE SURE TO WASH YOUR HANDS AFTER THIS STEP - SURGICAL SPIRITS CAN BE IRRITANT TO SENSITIVE SKIN

STEP 5: Wait for disk to dry and finally - BLAM! Your disk is as clean as you got it in '04 Smile

While you are at it go buy some metal polish.
useless thread
You have a local chemist?!
OT: I personally don't care if my rings are clean or not, but I'm sure some people do.
People need to stop making threads about awful budget ways to clean metal.

srsly, it's getting old :V

Metal polish is more expensive...

Useless post is useless without stating why this topic is useless. T.T
There have been multiple threads on cleaning metal parts, this one wasn't necessary.
Use the search function in future, this could have easily been added to the previous parts cleaning thread and didn't warrant its own thread.
