Beyblade Season 1 - Subbed - LOOKING FOR HELP
Post: #1
(This post was last modified: Jul 02 2009 12:43 AM by StardustPhoenix.)
Hello everyone!

I have just recently started a fansubbing group called Stardust Phoenix Fansubs, and I have plans to sub the first season of Beyblade, or Bakuten Shoot Beyblade. However, my plans were crushed when I realized that I can't translate, and I don't know any translators interested in helping out. I can time and encode, and unless someone better than me wants to help, I'll do the karaoke and typesetting, but I can't translate at all! Also, I do not have the whole series in Japanese, I only have episode 1-41 and 50-51. So if has those missing 8 episodes in high quality, and wishes to donate them, I'll gladly take them! =)

Now, if you do want to help with translating, then I have a couple guidelines I would like you to follow:

1. You translate from Japanese to English.
2. You translate at a reasonable rate (2-4 weeks for episode, approximately)
3. You don't bother me about how I "take too long" to time, encode, etc.
4. You don't mind if I end up editing your translations, because it will end up happening.

Now, even though my main goal is to get a good translator, you are also free to join if you want to fill any of these positions:

Karaoke, Typesetter, Quality Checker/Editor, RAW Provider (Not looking for timers or encoders, sorry)

And there's also one more condition, if you want to join. Future projects after finishing Beyblade may not necessarily be related to Beyblade, so you have to be willing to stay and help out. I'm not really sure what to do after Beyblade, but I was thinking somewhere along the lines of Pocket Monsters, or Yu-Gi-Oh!, or some other show some of us used to watch when we were kids, but my mind can easily be changed.

Oh, and also, don't try to get me to change the groups name!

If you want to see a sample of what I've done so far, here's a youtube link. Keep in mind that I only subbed the opening so far... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AaKrP0yxru8

If you want to help out, PM me, or e-mail me at stardustphoenix@hotmail.com. Thanks a lot, everyone!

So all you can do is time and encode ... it sounds like you should be looking for people to help, rather than you asking for people to help you ...

I no longer manage nor work for the WBO. Do not PM or e-mail me questions about Beyblade! I will not respond!

Well, I'm not trying to be mean, but it's like me asking I need help with a painting ... I can supply the paintbrushes, but I need someone who knows how to paint and someone who can bring a canvas.

That's not what I was trying to say, I meant something more like, "Does anybody want to draw a painting? I have brushes, but I don't know how to paint. Does anybody who does know how to paint want to help?" Sorry if I gave the wrong impression. I wasn't trying to sound like I'm doing all the work, I know that translating is a very important part of the subs.

Your subbing looks pretty good. ^^ Keep it up. I hope you find someone who can help you and do the translating. It's quite hard to find RAW episodes of the first season but I found some here: http://www.himura-kaoru.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=603 I won't take on the role of the RAW provider but I'm willing to give you a hand as a fellow Beyblade fan and do little things like this.

Thanks a lot man! Unfortunately, I still have the same RAWs as before, because I had originally found the very first link you posted, and in the two new ones you just gave me, the links to the RAWs I don't have are deleted. Uncertain But thanks a lot anyway, you're already finding sites that I never found Joyful_2

Those both are DranzerX13's, we (him and I) are just re-doing them.
The first link are just older version (which i think got taken down)
And the 2nd is my site, which has the same RAWs linked on the first post.
All by the same people, just older or same version.

Ok, thanks, I will use them if I ever get a chance to sub it. However, nobody has responded saying they want to help yet, and I can't sub it all on my own. Right now, it seems like I won't be subbing Beyblade. Uncertain

Don't count yourself out yet! There may still be someone out there who will help. I could try and sub it but my Japanese is limited so it wouldn't really work. People want a good quality translation. However, I know some users who may be able to help better than I would. I'll ask them about it and then get back to you here.
