Super Chouzetsu! Quest: Endless Journey [VERY SLOW/INCONSISTENT UPDATES] - reshiwum - Apr. 16, 2021
A fanfic I have been working and focusing on lately. The first chapter is to be uploaded, and this fic might go to a LOT of hiatus due to me not finishing Cho-Z/Turbo season yet. I'll be using JP/sub names, so just ask me if you are confused about who is who.
Aiga Akaba might seem like a usual, happy-go-lucky children at first glimpse. He lives in a small village near a forest with his parents; His mom - Kanna - being a talented archmage with healing abilities, and his father - Taiga - being a retired swordsman who currently works as a blacksmith. He, however, without himself realizing, is a direct descendant of Achilles. During his endless journey, he conceals his secrets one by one as he proceeds to become the strongest there ever is!

Some character roles that I planned for this fic! I might add some later on, though. I think it's quite obvious which roles will be taken by who
Swordsman: Sword users that are usually trained to use weapons like Broadswords, Claymore, and obviously, Swords. Once they are trained enough, they are usually the put to be the main members of an army.
Bullseye: A highly trained bow and arrow user. Bullseyes are usually a part of an elite army and they go through heavier training than regular archers.
Mage: A beginner magic user. They usually wander everywhere around the world or go to an academy to train their magical abilities. The kind of magic they use is the Bright Magic or the Void Magic
Archmage: A kind of wizard that usually has dedicated their lives in wandering over the world just to strengthen their wizarding abilities. Because of them mostly moving to one place and another, it's quite difficult to find an archmage. They have greater powers than a regular mage, but they use practically the same kind of magic.
Demigod: A demigod, like their name implies, is half god, half human. They have really big powers, but their powers are usually hidden until they reached some point in their life. A demigod also has great sorcery powers, even greater than the most trained Archmage.
Beast Tamer: Beast Tamers defend themselves not using weapons, but using a tamed, trained beast. Albeit tamed, these beasts are only docile towards their tamer or towards those they thought are allies. Other than the ability to tame a beast and a little magical power, Beast Tamers don't really have other interesting abilities.
Shapeshifter: Shapeshifters are rather harder to find than all of the other roles listed above. They have a great wizarding ability similar to that of an Archmage's. They have the ability to transform to a certain creature, like Dragons, Horses, Snakes etc. The most common form of animal they took upon are beastly animals.

Prologue
With a single blow of that iron shortsword, the target doll fell onto the ground with a pretty loud ‘thud’ noise.
“Woohoo! Didcha’ see that Naru? I’m the strongest swordsman there ever is! I’m an unstoppable being!” A redhead cheered out, swinging his iron shortsword recklessly and then laughing full of victory. Just right beside him is a bluenette known as Naru – his little sister. She was accompanying her big brother training, albeit to her, it only seems like some kind of a game. She thinks that his brother isn’t seriously training at all.
That loud redhead is Aiga Akaba. He might seem like a usually loud, happy-go-lucky kid at a first glance – nothing special at all. He lives in a small village near a forest with his little sister and his parents; His mother – Kanna – being a talented archmage with healing abilities, and his father – Taiga – being a retired swordsman who is working as a blacksmith. Without his knowledge, however, he turns out to be a direct descendant of the legendary warrior Achilles.
“Aren’t you a bit tired from your game?” Naru asked with a somewhat tired voice, yawning.
“What do you mean by ‘game’ Naru? This is training!” Aiga answered, with a surprised and and upset tone. He perhaps felt a little upset after Naru called his ‘training’ a game.
“To come and think of it, I can say that I’m a little worn out…maybe? I’m going to take some fresh air by strolling around in the forest. Wanna’ come along?” Aiga said as his body made a ‘person thinking’ gesture.
“No, I think. I’m going to feed the sheeps instead.” Naru refused as she stood and stretched her body. She walked a few steps towards the sheeps’ stable, but then she turned her body.
“Isn’t it a little late to go out? It’s half past four in the afternoon…” Naru asked, with a little tone of worry in her words.
“Nope! Not late at all – at least for me. Tell mom I’m goin’ kay’?” Aiga cheerfully responded, earning a wide smile from Naru.
“Okay then! Take care, Aiga-nii!” Naru happily waved her hand at Aiga who proceeds to dissapear little by little into the forest. After saying goodbyes, Naru proceeded to walk towards the sheeps’ stable and she continued what she was going to do earlier – feeding the sheeps.
-
“Hey, seriously! No one here? Helloo!!” A somewhat worried shouting came from the depths of the forest, scaring some birds away. A familiar bluenette with a gold hairband curved perfectly on his hair looked a bit lost. He probably had walked for hours, he forgot when is the last time he saw houses.
“Seriously, no one? I’m tired…” The bluenette’s walking pace began to get slower and slower as he grew even more tired. A bright blue scabbard can be seen hanging on his back, along with a backpack. After muttering for a while, he pulled a broadsword off the scabbard and a beautiful silver broadsword with deep blue and yellow accent gleamed softly under the shadow of the leaves of the trees around
.
“Mighty broadsword of Valkyrie, lend me your power, show me the way!” The bluenette squinted his eyes and said the words with a full focus.
One second, two seconds, three seconds. Nothing happened.
Four seconds, the sword lightly gleamed, and it proceeded to get brighter each second. The sword shaked lightly, but then it stopped, and the gleam it bears gets dimmer.
“Hey! What’s going on? What’s wrong?” Just as the bluenette spoke, he heard a loud rustle of the leaves and the branches from the tree behind him. He quickly turned his head at the direction of the noise and made a defensive pose by holding his broadsword with both of his hands, in front of him.
The loud rustling noise moved from its former place to another, leaving the bluenette a bit troubled. It didn’t change his defensive position, but it required him to change his standing position for every few seconds.
“H-halt! Who goes there?” He stuttered a little by the start of his question, but he still wants to know who – or what – is the reason behind the loud rustling. Its definitely not because of an animal, its too loud to come from one.
“Show yourself! I’m not afraid!” The bluenette said louder, brushing off his fear. He, unfortunately, is a little off-guard and his broadsword got taken quickly from above. It surprised him and caused him to fall down on his back. He got up and adjusted himself – he got a little dizzy after the fall – and his eyes began searching for whoever did it. Now he is very certain that whatever – or whoever – is in that rustling leaves are not an animal. If it is, however, the most possible animal must’ve been a monkey.
His eyes caught something. It was a human-like figure hanging from vines and jumping from one branch to another. From a distance, it can be seen that whatever that figure is, it is holding an item that softly shined – the bluenette is certain that it is his broadsword it is holding.
“I-it’s a monkey! Give me back my broadsword!” The bluenette commanded, a little freaked out by the fact that a ‘monkey’ stole his broadsword. His eyes keenly followed the direction the ‘monkey’ jumped to here and there. After a few seconds, the ‘monkey’ dissapeared from the bluenette’s sight.
“Where’d it go? This is bad…” The bluenette thought as he squinted his eyes. Just as he opened his eyes, an angry figure stood right in front of him, freaking him out. He backed a little and nearly fell down.
“Woah! Don’t freak people out like that!” The bluenette said as he walked back. Turns out, the figure in front of him was holding his broadsword.
“YOU’RE freaking me out. I’m not a monkey, bluehead.” The figure grumbled angrily, crossing his arms.
“I have a name, you know. You may call me Aiga.” The figure – who turned out to be Aiga – grumbled, pointing his thumb at himself. A puff of hot air puffed out from his nostrils. The bluenette analyzed Aiga top-to-toe. When he finished, he looked like he’s just realized something.
“Your broadsword? Here. It looks strong, but its heavy. Therefore, I can’t and won’t make any good use of it.” Before the bluenette can say anything, Aiga handed him the broadsword back, as if reading his mind. The bluenette smiled lightly, thanking Aiga.
“What are you doing anyway, inside of a forest all alone like this? Oh, and also, who are you? I’ve never seen someone like you before.” Aiga inquired many questions at a time, with a suspicious tone over his words. The bluenette sighed and laughed nervously before beginning to talk.
“I’m Aoi Valt, and I’m looking for a blacksmith named Akaba Taiga. Do you know him by any chance?” Valt asked as he pulled out his scabbard and stored his broadsword back inside. Aiga raised both of his eyebrows, then putting it back to their normal state. His face went back neutral.
“Follow me.” He said wordlessly, leading Valt to an upward hill.
“The one who got up first wins!” Aiga said suddenly, picking up his running pace. He ran up the hill almost leaving Valt behind.
“Hey, that’s not fair!” Valt protested, picking up a pace as well, chasing Aiga from behind him. He almost caught up with the redhead’s speed, but he’s still left behind by a few steps.
To be continued.
dangitdarnit, I just realized how messy the spacings are ;-; I wrote in word. Maybe that's why?

Mmm, "Medieval" setting isn't really correct, but yes for the Fantasy part.
And yeah, this fanfic is pretty much canon-divergent but I will certainly change some stuff up - so not only replacing the Beyblades but also a few of other stuffs.

RE: Super Chouzetsu! Quest: Endless Journey [VERY SLOW/INCONSISTENT UPDATES] - reshiwum - May. 21, 2021
Chapter 1
It's finally here! After decades of waiting (/hj), I finally managed to get myself into writing again. Writer's block sucks. Not the most proud of how this chapter turned out, but definitely does the job. I got sorta distracted from writing by a lot of stuff lately so that kinda explains why I got a writer's block haha /lh.
Also like I said, this fic is canon-divergent, though I'll twist some things. I have made some changes that I kept in mind so if any of you spotted something different from the original Cho-Z plot, those are one of the things that I have twisted.
Any feedbacks would really help on this chapter!
“Darn it! He’s quick…” Valt thought, speeding up his steps. In a moment, he managed to catch up with the redhead.
“Aren’t you a fast one? Try harder, tough!” Aiga laughed out loud, outspeeding the blunette once more – altough he isn’t that far away from Valt this time.
Aiga did all his manouvers hastily. He ran, jumped, and climbed over any obstacles on his way. At last, he found a long vine. As he arrived at an edge of the cliff he’s running up on, he quickly grabbed the vine and hanged onto it. He tried to sway to the other side of the cliff, but he failed. As he swayed, the vine got broken off and it caused Aiga to fall into a river just below him. Valt, following him, had the same fate. He didn’t slow himself down and as a result, fell into the river with Aiga.
Underwater, the two tried to talk to each other – shouting at each other, probably – though as a result, the two gargled the river’s water instead. They managed to reach the surface in a matter of seconds.
“I told you- *coughs* I’m quick!” Aiga snickered, coughing a little between his word. “But you’re great as well – I haven’t met someone who can catch up with my speed in a while. I don’t even remember who is it the last time!” Aiga said as he stood up, lending a hand to help Valt to stand up as well. The boys dried themselves a little, although not completely, and began walking again.
“We’re so close! We’ll just need to walk that way a few more meters and we’ll arrive at my teeny little village. This way!” Aiga said, leading the walk. Valt smiled and follows the latter.
The two walked towards the direction Aiga had pointed, and at last, finally arrived at the said village. After a few more steps, Aiga found his little farm house. From it’s wooden fence, a half-worried looking bluenette – Naru – stood. When she saw Aiga, however, her frown turned upside down.
“Aiga!” Naru happily said out loud as she waved her hand at Aiga. “What took you so long? Mom and I are worried you know..” She mumbled happily, hugging Aiga tightly. Before Aiga could say a word, though, Naru asked him something again.
“Huh? Who’s that?” Naru asked, trying to look at Valt who is standing behind Aiga.
Aiga smiled as he turned his body towards Valt, “I guess you should introduce yourself now.”
“Ah, hello. I’m Valt, Aoi Valt. I came here looking for Taiga…Akaba Taiga. I believe he’s your father?” Valt lightheartedly introduced, and asked as well. For a while, Naru remained silent, before finally smiling wide.
“I am Naru! Akaba Naru! And yes! Taiga’s our father! Wait here, alright?” She happily cheered. She ran from the two boys and called her father, which can be clearly heard from the distance. The boys are left alone when in a matter of minutes, Aiga’s mother – Kanna – showed up.
“Oh Aiga? You’re home!” She smiled, before looking at Valt. “…With a friend?” She asked shortly, with a half-confused face. Aiga nodded happily, and explained everything about Valt. Valt bowed and told Kanna why did he came here – saying sorry too, for making Aiga came late, because Aiga saved him from being lost earlier.
Kanna nodded, and told Aiga to wait as Naru’s calling her father. Not so long after, a middle-aged bluenette showed up with Naru pulling on his arm. It was none other than the said-to-be legendary blacksmith Valt has been looking for – Akaba Taiga. Valt’s expression mixed with awe and intimidated – a little. In awe because of how he can’t believe he finally met the legendary blacksmith, and a little intimidated by how tall Taiga is.
“Naru told me everything about you. What do you want?” He asked before Valt could do his introduction in a gruff voice as if he’s just woke up. Valt looked at him with starry eyes.
“You see here, I’m a rookie swordsman – I’m still in training! My sword, though, has its magical abilities weakened. I need your help to re-enchance its magical ability, sir!” Valt said enthusiastically, taking his scabbard and pulling out the Valkyrie broadsword out of it, glowing faintly.
Taiga took the broadsword as if it’s weightless, and took a quick look around it.
“It’s a sword that was once wield by Valkyries…where did you get this, Valt?” Taiga asked, weakly touching and rubbing his hand on the sword.
“My mom was a Valkyrie once, and she gave me this sword because she knows very well on how much do I wanted to be a swordsman.” Valt told Taiga. For a split second, his eyes twinkled with nostalgia.
“I see. Follow me.” Taiga commanded, leading Valt to his blacksmith workshop. Sneakily, Aiga and Naru follows behind. Taiga, however, noticed the two following him and Valt behind and pushed them away. Alas, Aiga and Naru waited outside of the workshop, constantly peeking from the window. Valt and Taiga are clearly talking, but unfortunately, Aiga can’t hear them.
“Ooh, A Dragon-Eye Orb! I saw a few of these back in my town!” Valt said, touching the purplish-black orb that sat beside the anvil where Taiga is working on.
“It’s well-known for its great use in enchancing weapons, if I remember correctly…” Valt continued, a little hesitation on the end of his words. He made a gesture as if he’s trying to remember. Taiga stopped for a while and turned his head upon Valt.
“You sure know a lot. A bit unusual to see a swordsman knowing these kinds of things. They usually just ask for the strongest enchancement without even bothering to learn about the component that is used to enchance their weapon.” Taiga smiled faintly. His mind seemed to fly somewhere around his memories, maybe somewhere when he’s still a young swordsman.
“My mother teaches me about these when I was younger! She said its important to know these things.” Valt smiled. Taiga responded with a tiny laugh – in a somewhat proud way.
Outside of the workshop, Aiga and Naru waited, trying to hear what are Valt and their father is talking about, but it’s honestly just kind of useless. Starting to get bored, Aiga jumped off the window’s frame and started kicking small rocks around, constantly mumbling inaudible words a bit upsetly. Once every few minutes, the strange glint of light sparked out of the workshop’s window.
After a while, the door handle of the workshop’s door moved, and the door opened with a creaking noise. Behind the door was a cobalt-haired boy, smiling widely, holding a sword in his hand. His face was decorated with smudges of black dust and coal, looking a little dirty. The sword on his hand shined softly with a gleam that feels different – not in a bad way. It radiates an aura much more powerful than ever.
“What do you say?” Valt cheerfully said, raising his sword towards the evening sun. It sparked a light blinding any gaze towards it. Aiga and Naru stared at the sword with sparkling eyes, amazed by how it looked. The cobalt and silver blended perfectly with the shades of yellow and red it has. Not to doubt, that sword clearly had greater power than before.
“That is amazing! Dad sure did a great job on this one!” Naru cheerfully said, smiling widely. Valt smiled back. A few seconds passed, and Taiga came out from the workshop, wearing a dirty apron.
“That’s your dad for you.” Taiga smiled proudly. Turns out, he heard the entire conversation.
“Say, Valt. What about we spar a little?” Aiga asked, pulling out his iron shortsword. Compared to Valt’s sword, the iron shortsword is smaller, but still enough for a little friendly fight.
“Why not? I want to see how much my sword has became!” Valt grinned. In a matter of minutes, the two got ready on each other’s position, behind the workshop.
Before Valt or Aiga could make a move, however, Kanna caught them.
“What were you thinking? It has gotten really dark. No more activities outside, sorry.” Kanna said in a concerned and upset tone, crossing her arms.
“Valt, you can stay for the night. Going through the forest to reach the next village will take if not four then six hours.” Kanna said, turning her head towards the forest for a second, then turning her head towards Valt again. No matter how much the boys resisted to go inside, Kanna is right. The sun has sinked half on the horizon, shining orange and pink colors softly.
“Now, store back your swords to your scabbards, and go inside for supper. I have made some soup and baked some bread.” Kanna smiled, guiding the boys. Behind them, Taiga and Naru walked along. While Valt and Aiga are cleaning themselves up, Naru and Kanna prepared the table.
That night was a comfortable yet surprising one.

RE: Super Chouzetsu! Quest: Endless Journey [VERY SLOW/INCONSISTENT UPDATES] - PinkRose - May. 21, 2021
Waaaaaaaaaiiiiit a minute....he didn't deny the 'friend' description? Who are you and what have you done to Aiga Akaba?!!
Jokes aside tho, this is pretty sweet, so have a quick rating:
Plot: 5/5. Still at the very beginning, but we learn some stuff about the world they live in which is cool.
Dialogue: 5/5. No complaints here, the dialogue is pretty smooth.
Characterization: 4.5/5. You lost the half point because there isn't enough tsundere energy here (jk lol).
Grammar: 3.5/5. There's a bit of inconsistency with tenses (keeps alternating between past and present), and a couple spelling errors here and there, but that's about it.
Final Rating: 18/20. Nice start, I like this so far! Looking forward to what's coming next (whenever it may be XD)

Some stuff that are related to the world-building of this fic (WIP, Will be updated)
Beigoma
Beigoma is the region where the story takes place. It is believed that this place has been standing for more than ten centuries. An unknown hero is said to have protected the land by covering it with a mysterious veil imbued with magical powers that locks away all sorts of black magics and bad deeds. As time passes, however, the power of the veil weakens, drawing more and more forbidden powers in.
--Central Beigoma
The busiest place in Beigoma and the business central as well. This place has the most inhabitants and has a lot of complementary areas, such as the market, bread shop, confection factory etc.
--Central Market
A place that sells everyday needs. In some places of this big market, there are small restaurants that serves a variety of food.
--Confection Factory
Despite the name of this place only including the word confection, this place is actually the producer to most foods available in the Beigoma region.
--Abandoned Factory
No one knows why this building is abandoned before it's even fully built. It has became a base to little criminal organizations or street jerks.
Clematis Field
A Field infused with mysterious powers, and is the location of the two great towers of Beigoma; The Sacred Flame Tower and The Mirage Tower. The name "Clematis" is derived from the Clematis flowers that grew all over the field, making the field appears to be dull purple. Around these areas, only little people live - mostly mages in training. The Clematis flowers growing in the Clematis Fields are different from the usual Clematises that grew in other places - Due to the mysterious radiation of the Mirage Tower, these Clematises are believed to hold a strange power. These powers are believed to keep away people and other creatures that holds bad deeds and intentions in their hearts.
--Mirage Tower
The Mirage Tower is a very tall tower that stands alone in the middle of Clematis field. This tower is believed to radiate a special magic radiation that manipulates everything around it. Once in a while, you can see the areas around the Mirage Tower distorting due to it's very strong radiation.
--Sacred Flame Tower
A tower that is the home to the Sacred White Flame, an flame that is said to be the source of all powers of the world. Some said that the flame can't be unlit. This flame is highly hunted by mages to make them unstoppable in terms of power. However, those who tried to approach the tower is said to never come back because of the severe trial they must go through in order to reach the Sacred Flame Chamber.
Dread Plateau
A lone plateau in the very edge of Beigoma that is the home to Dread Tower, an abandoned tower where dark magic users were once abundant. This plateau were once used by forbidden power users as a hideout, but then the whole plateau is combed and the forbidden power users were banished. Currently, no inhabitants lived there. All that's left is a plateau full of dark clouds and dead tall grasses, with a tall tower standing in the middle.
--Dread Tower
A Tower that was once used by a couple of people to study forbidden powers. This tower is now abandoned. It is unknown whether the rumors about there are still a couple of inhabitants living here is true or not, but some people do really believe it to the point that they even go to the tower themselves to prove it, only to never come back anymore.

Eep, Hearts and Phi seem creepy. And idk why, but Mirage Tower and Sacred Flame Tower remind me of Free and Shu respectively.

You'll see! I'm still trying to get my lazy bones to watching Cho-Z again currently so that I can plan whether the said places are related to them or not :]
