its when the material on the driver is worn down into a different shape. it usually happens with rubber or POM plastic.

Basically when a part has been used or worn enough to become better than it’s original form. Like with Evolution’ turning in a rubber flat versus a rubber spike thing, or Imperial turning from bound attack to fixed with rubber exposed.
