Wizard fafnir testing and discussion - LegendV3 - May. 13, 2019

Wizard fafnir is the 3rd fafnir in the fafnir lineup. Fafnirs' are known for their spin steal abilities. Wizard fafnir can supposedly sit in the center of the stadium and steal spin on its own when in stock form.

I can't get this to work despite using the same combo the BBG used to perform this trick.( wizard fafnir ratchet rise vs slash valkrie blitz cycle

If anyone can get this to work, please let me know how.

Have you tried a slow launch? It gives it more of a chance to spin steal

Slow launch the slash valkyrie combo? I think that actually works even though I don't know how. Saw in the BBG video that when the slash valkyrie combo slowed down, wizard fafnir stole spin better.

Currently running WF on 10S.Ab Sen just because it spin steals better than on Ratchet Rise for some reason (compared to not overly-exposed rubberized Layers like Sr or dF). Soft/weak launch WF vs opposite spin, hard launch vs same spin and cross your fingers while praying for luck.

try putting it against the slope of the stadium ,

so that the rise driver helps the combo to stand up completely straight . The spin stealing works best when the layer is flat

Maybe try WF.12P.At Sen. The combo is light for a WF combo and the proof and atomic combination might work similar to polish atomic, which was good for zombies.

slow launching the wF actually works. U can try hand spinning it and immediately launch another bey and see how it performs Smile

Slow launching is a renowned strategy for winning with an opposite spin stamina combo. There's some physics behind it. As far as I can remember, the hey with lesser spin will have lesser spin recoil which reduces the risk of KO and bursts because the layer will lose lesser clicks than usual and also the combo will be pushed back lesser than usual. So, you are right.

Halloween's over, there's no need to raise the dead anymore.

It’s a testing thread so I think necroposting is permitted.

Besides I have some testing of my own

Wizard (rbv 17) Fafnir (booster) Wheel Mobius gen vs Glide Lucifer 2S bearing
Fafnir: 80% (spin finishes of course)

Lucifer: 20 % (1 burst 1 out spin)

RE: Wizard fafnir testing and discussion - SunBlader98 - Feb. 05, 2022

The meta game in tours barely have Beys that have attack power too much stamina and spin equilizing stuff especially with drift, zone+z,and Left DB Beys out even the Heaven layer because of stamina is common now without dash drivers and with wheel and I think wizard has more spin stealing capabilities then vanish or mirage imo
So I was thinking about this set here

Wizard Diabolos2 Wheel YardM Gen
Can anyone test this for me against drift and zone+z users?
